I suppose I'm here for the same reasons as many others...to find that special person that will enhance my life.I'm very lucky that I have a career and job that I am passionate about, a wonderful family and fabulous friends. But recently, I've been missing having someone to share that with: from someone that I can share my day with to someone that will be my travel partner as I check out this big world of ours. There are qualities that I look for of course, like kindness and honesty, but I'm more concerned about what's inside than outside. Having said that, I would also prefer someone with a healthy lifestyle, as that is what I strive for in my own life. I'm becoming a regular at the gym, and am currently training for a half-..scratch that...completed it in September '13!!While dating can be a lot of fun, I'm eventually looking for that one man who will be my equal and best friend, so I am open-minded to see where a friendship may lead. Having said that - I'm not looking to "hook up" or go to your place to "watch a movie". I'm not going to give you my *** phone number after a short message...no matter how clever it is. So, if you see something here that piques your curiosity or you just want to ask more, send me a message. If I've put you on a favorites list, it means I want to read your profile again while I work up the courage to write the first message...I don't mind if you beat me to it! But what's with the messages saying "hi how r u", "hello" or "hey" but nothing else?? I put some effort and thought into messages I send - please do the same. And here's a hint for you...good grammar impresses me...NOTE: If you're married, "not sure" about your marriage, or still living with your ex...please do us both a favor and pass me by... Surprise me...but I'd love if it were something out of the box!

I love being outside walking, hiking that kind of thing...outdoorsy you know I love nature. I also love to play pool - even though I suck the majority of time (my Grandfather was a pool shark), and I have also recently taken up playing Grand Theft Auto - for some laughs. I Love to watch standup comedy and when I say love it, I mean LOVE it. I guess movies aren't really a hobby of mine, although when I do watch movies I am generally drawn to really only a couple genres, typically, horror, psychological thrillers, true crime, the occasional documentary, and some comedy - definitely NOT romantic comedies. I actually have a very broad range of interests, I think there are too many to describe in a nice, succinct manner here. Okay, goals, to get a job that is at the very least, adjacent to my field of study forensic psychology. Another goal would be to find someone who more than anything cracks me up on at least a daily basis, and who is intelligent, sweet, supportive, loves animals, honest, you know the standard qualities that every chick looks for...well maybe not all chicks?? What makes me unique, I don't really know, but I have a really awesome sense of humour, and what is most impressive is my 30lb siamese cat. Oh, I have also actually managed to catch a washer on fire due to my substandard level of domestication. I love music, and generally most kinds of music, the only kind I really have a violent visceral reaction to is country, especially the ultra twangy, hardcore crap...yes, I know too far), although the hair bands of the eighties also hold a special place in my heart. The first date, I believe should be low key and chill, to go somewhere fascinating/intimate and chat, and maybe even get in some people quality people watching time.
