About Me

How would i describe me? I'm the kind of girl that can be professional in a suit for work, dress up in a glittery gown and fancy shoes for a ball yet still feel SO comfortable in a good pair of jeans and a T-shirt (and even better in yoga pants and a hoodie). I have a great career and I love what I do. I'm very independent and work hard to keep that independence. I'm a proud single mother of a GREAT 11 year old son - who, by the way, you might see playing in the NHL one day :) and...i'm shy when you first meet me, but a ball of sillyness and sarcasm when you get to know me!I'm looking to meet that special someone who i can share the good times with - and yes, even the bad times. A stolen kiss as we walk past each other, a hand hold when you least expect it, a hug just because...all things you tend to miss when you don't have a partner. I'm a lover. I love freely, deeply and wholly and tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. At the same time, i really do enjoy my time with me. I very much enjoy the outdoors too - hiking weekdays and weekends (big or small hikes - whetever time permits) and camping whenever I can too. I listen to all kinds of music. I love attending live concerts and have attended many - I tend to have music on as much as I can wherever I can and I love to dance. I would eventually like a life mate, someone to spend my old days with ;) but would like to date for awhile before getting into anything too serious. At this point in my life, I know what i'm looking for in a relationship, what's important to me, what the "deal-breakers" are and i'm not willing to settle for anything less. You?     Hey!So. What to say in an online profile? I'm a self-employed art teacher with a studio in my basement and a car full of art supplies that I bring around town to local schools for school-wide programs in clay, felt-making and sewing. My schedule is pretty random, but I always try to make time for friends, fun, and family! I love bbq's and beers with friends...with the occasional late night or festival (Riff!) in there to keep it interesting ;) I've got a big garden, 2 cats, and love to chill most nights with some good tv, movies, cards and a glass of red.     I am a wonderful person or so my close friends say so at least. They say my smile lights up a room. I want to find the special person who will keep the smile on my face. Make me smile and laugh whenever he can.-land for me lol)I have two beautiful kids that spend every second week with me and they come first but I also have to take care of myself and my happiness, and do that on my weeks off. Once I get to know someone then I will introduce but for them I don't want to confuse them. They have a father that has move on with something that i don't want near my kids but i don't have a choice with who he sees. But he is a good father to them. The kids would like to see me happy for once.I have an office job , I am a clerk in the military, I enjoy it and it doesn't take too much of my time, I have time for family and friends. Just something to add though, I can't be around someone who does drugs, my job doesn't allow it. I do not want someone who says they don't do drugs on their profile and actually do drugs but don't put it down, it is either you do or you don't there is no in betweens, occasionally is doing drugs!! I don't want a one night stand, or an active sex partner and if you are actively married or have a girlfriend please move on, separated is ok but if you are still with you wife don't waste my time. I deserve more then being treated like some piece of trash. I am a lady, a friend, and a very special person and would like to be treated as so. I want to meet someone who deserves to be treated like a gentleman and is sweet and kind.
