The glass is half full kind of girl. Always looking on the bright side. Looking for someone who's happy MOST of the time and loves life.I love coffee any time of the day but it's pretty much mandatory in the AM. When I have free time, if I'm not meeting up with friends then I've been known to enjoy hot tea in the evenings with either a good book or good movie to accompany me. Just lucky to look a little younger than I am I guess ;-)I am a full time single mom to a sweet 7 year old. She’s an incredible little girl and will always come first. She does have a set number of weekends with her father so that is the time when I can meet new people. I will not introduce anyone to her until we have made a real connection and the relationship has progressed to a deeper level. 7 years old is just too young to understand “dating” in my opinion. I’m not flexible on this so if it’s something you can’t understand, please pass me by. In addition to owning/running my photography business I also teach a photo class once a month, and volunteer for a non-profit organization three or so days a month for a couple of years now. However I've started a new chapter and am now focused on a second degree. This doesn't mean I have put down the camera(s). What else... So just about anything outdoors. I am also taking ballet again, shh... Don't tell anyone or they'll ask me to do a pirouette for them ;-) I love all kinds of music and all kinds of places to see live bands. I love weekend getaways and try to travel somewhere about every 6 to 8 weeks. And YES, I have my passport! The most important quality for me in another is honesty. It’s not about not telling lies. Im really outgoing, love anything outdoors, anything involving animals AND of course MY KIDS being involved too! Music is a huge passion of mine I love latin music (salsa, merengue, old cuban music, reggeaton), Indian (India Shaan, Imran Khan), US music (top stations I listen to 99.5, 100.9 and 103.3), arab music as well (Cheb Mami, Rim K) and love african beats also! Ive been studying psy, soc in school for almost 3 yrs, but in my spare time learn world history, diff cultures, history of religions, meditation also! Im really like a huge sponge and just soak up my surrounds! I love anything where I can learn, be myself, be either serious, or cracking jokes :) I have to have someone where I have an intellectual connection with them and an emotional one also, then everything else will follow! I would be lying if I said mutal physical attraction has to be there too! I also tend to like hispanic/latino men and arab men as well! For the African men yes sometimes I do, I have friends from North Africa also! I also like men that are mixed! I just like darker skin than mine, so please if you have something negitive to say, just dont write me then! I LIKE WHAT I LIKE, IM JUST ME!!!!! I LOVE THE CONTRAST IN SKIN NEXT TO MY OWN! IM JUST BEING REAL HERE!!!! So Please allow me to explain this here since I get a lot of *** to know why lol: 1- is I tend to like men with darker skin, say tan to brown skin, Im fair and the contrast thing I like. Then the darker features hair, eyes (green or brown) is something that I just prefer in someone! 2- there is a difference in foreigners when it comes to family values, such as the family all living together when the parents get older or aunts or uncles! This I feel is just the correct way of thinking when you have family! I didnt grow up with much of a family but when married the first time told my husband at the time to have his mother or aunt to come live with us because they were retiring. So we could take care of them. Its just the right thing to do, not them living alone or being put in hospice/nursing home!!!!!I think with me what you see is what you get! I dont put on for people first of all, not my style. Guess thats why my ex husband is my closest friend and others are also friends still! Im just cool, easy to get along with, down to earth for sure, am always up for almost anything. Always get mistaken as weak because of my kindness, but dont let that fool you, Im far from naive at 38! I may take alot of stuff but not from many people and for very long before I turn around and leave you for not respecting me! Im not perfect never have been and never will be and dont try to be either :)! I really have always been pretty independent, starting my own mortgage company at just 23 till 33. Have been through hell and back since then but am coming back stronger this time! In the process of going back into mortgages, and want to start a couple businesses and 2 non-profits also! I have alot to offer someone if they are willing to stick around for the right reasons! Im not that easy to commit right off the bat even though its what I want! But first I need someone that can keep up with my mind! Someone we can accept the good and bad in one another! Im for sure a giver, very affectionate and romantic, very touchy if I like you, and can be silly at times as well ;).If any of this interest you please shoot me a line and tell me about yourself! Im secure in myself regardless of my size anytime, I know who I am, and if you make judgement on me for that, your not my type anyways! Im pretty low key, coffee or a drink, maybe pool! I do love movies alot (action, then comedy) but not good for first date! Just want to see if chemistry is there!
