I wrote this thing awhile back, then completely *** for a few spins around the sun and am just now checking back in. It seems my profile has gotten outdated in the meantime, so let's do something about that! I tell people that I'm a highly social introvert. I love going out and doing things with old friends, new friends, huge groups of people, small handfuls of people, whatever. I'm definitely a people fan! (Unless they're mean. Mean people suck - come on, we've all seen the sticker, this is not news. I'm not going to hang out with you if you're mean...and you shouldn't hang out with yourself either. There. Go get a fish for company. But please don't be mean to the fish, bc that would make me sad.) I have a fantastic group of friends, I love them to pieces, and I'm completely blessed to get to spend time with them throughout the week!That being said, I'm entirely comfortable spending time by myself, and I need to do a certain amount of that to stay sane. I love to read, work outside, take my dog on long walks, go to the gym, clean out my closets - ah, just kidding, I just can't talk myself inyo cleaning out my closets right now. You can tell it's on my mind though, can't ya?I love doing outdoorsy stuff, and want to do more of it! I love being outside where I can appreciate green growing things and random little creatures. I'm also very adept at setting marshmallows on fire. It's a talent, and I'm proud of it.I like to do whatever interests me at the time. (Oooooh, specific, I know! In fact, you should ask me how that's coming along, bc that might inspire me to actually start, and that would make me proud of myself. I've discovered that I really love to travel, but because I've been pursuing a career that I love rather than one that pays a million dollars, I haven't been able to go as many places as I would like. Which means there are so many fun places left to visit!! Let's go see them! But first let's go back to the Caribbean. Man I love that place. Fishy fishies. Palm trees. Crystal clear water. Fresh pineapple by the roadside. Starfish that crawl on me. Yes. Let's go. I can be packed in 5 minutes.I like critters. Four-legged critters, six-legged critters, eight-legged critters... though i have a caveat about eight-legged critters. They are beautiful and interesting and I respect them, but I don't want any of them ON me. This is very important, you've been properly warned, and please don't take it upon yourself to see what happens when I discover a spider on me. No one wants to see that.I have a slight addiction to ordering used books off of Amazon before I get out of bed on Sunday mornings. It's a problem, and I'm looking for a support group. No luck so far.I don't like being bored, so, I don't get bored. I've been known to sign up for classes for fun. Recently.When I'm out, I'm most have a pretty "live and let live" philosophy, and enjoy people who feel the same way.I'm sure I would like kids if I had them, but I don't, so right now they're all "other people's kids". I'm MUCH more comfortable rolling around on the floor with your rottie-pit mix than your 4-yr-old. But, i like trying new things, so there's that. =)

I'm British and come complete with an accent...there, SOLD!!! lolIf you can handle dry, sarcastic humor then you'll "get me." I have a sharp wit and am pretty much hilarious in general. I can dazzle you with my array of random facts I am in touch with my "inner child" so be prepared for a big deal at Christmas and multiple watchings of The Polar Express. I imagine the last horse I bet on is still running as I type. NASCAR. Yup, that's my weakness. The smell of burning rubber and gasoline and the blast of air as they fly past....*sigh*. I go a few times a year, that's my "vacation" time. Beats getting sand up your butt!! I don't watch "chick flicks", I'm more of an action/adventure/sci fi, horror film person. No PG***for me. No snacks, just something cold and wet (no metaphors there)I am very active. My job is very physical and gets the juices flowing, if you know what I mean. I draw the line at suicidal activities such as jumping out of an aeroplane (are you NUTS???), bungee jumping (again, are you NUTS??) although cage diving with sharks is on my bucket list. That's ironic considering my biggest phobia is drowning.....I listen to most music except heavy metal and country. I don't have great hearing but I always listen to my "choons" full blast so that may explain why. I could talk a hungry dog away from it's meal and that's no exaggeration. Brutally honest and outspoken, I'm the person that yells "you're welcome" when people don't say "thank you." All that aside, there is a mush muffin inside of me. I am loyal to a fault, love to kiss, would do pretty much anything for "my guy" (unless it'll wind me up in an orange jump suit coz that's just not my color). I like to buy and do little random things, they make the other person feel special and if you can't make them feel special then what's the point, right???I simply require a guy who can laugh AT me as well as with me. Who isn't anally retentive about things. Who realizes that yes, it's true, us ladies DO get crabby once a month. Who doesn't mind me cussing. Who isn't clingy or too needy. Who blah blah blah.....just don't be a jerk, ok?? ;)***I an not interested in gaining pen pals. If you can't or won't get past texting then please don't waste my time. I want to date, aka meet people in the flesh, hang out, spend time together, that sort of thing. I have no time for spineless guys who are all talk and no action. Just so you know!!!*** Let's fly by the seat of our pants and see what happens....and let's be 21st century and not call it a "date"....

Is it just me or did it used to be much easier to meet people? Do people really meet at the grocery store? How exactly would that interaction go? I'm a get in, get the gallon of milk and get out kind of gal. But maybe I need to slow down and linger a while... What are single guys filling their carts with these days?I'm lucky to have a fabulously full life with an amazing family, incredible friends, a good career, a very sweet golden retriever and a home of my own. But I learned at a very young age that it's good to share. I've got plenty of room for someone special and lots of love to give.It's tough to sum up your personality in one word, let alone from such a finite list. I prefer to say I'm a "hopeful" romantic. Here's hoping... Lots of talking, sharing, laughing... When the company is right, the rest really doesn't matter.
