About Me

Although I spend a lot of time indoors reading for my career, I love the outdoors. I enjoy camping, hiking, spending time at a lake, etc. Some of my favorite trips have included hiking in national parks or tent camping. I enjoy travelling and try to visit somewhere new every year. When I travel I prefer to visit sites off the beaten path. It's much more interesting to immerse oneself in the local culture *** seeing all of the standard sites. The unique hole-in-the-wall type places oftentimes have the more interesting people, and if it's a pub or restaurant terrific food. There are many places I hope to visit, and I would love to share the excitement of discovering new places with someone who has the same sense of adventure. Fall is my favorite season....the way it smells outside, the crunch of the leaves, Halloween candy...but more so due to college football. I am passionate about college football (especially the team I cheer for) and enjoy attending games and watching football on TV. However, I prefer not to spend my entire weekend glued to the TV...there's so much to see outdoors. Oftentimes when someone meets me they think I'm rather serious, however, they soon realize I am funny and I don't take myself or life too seriously.Professionally I am a college English *** I split my time between 2 campuses, and I often have papers to grade, I make time for fun with my friends and family. I love spending time with my niece and nephews - they crack me up and their energy is infectious. I'm looking for someone who enjoys conversation and is open to exploring what the world has to offer. He should be someone who is comfortable with who they are and knows what they want. I would like someone who can be as comfortable at a play as they are at a football game. My interests are widely varied, and it'd be wonderful to be with someone with a wide array of interests as well who has a zest for learning new things.
