A little about me:I'm Irish and German. Translation= feisty. I have three tattoos and my tongue is pierced. I have a really awesome job and my own place. I have a car and I know how to drive it ;) I have THE MOST beautiful, twin, 7 year old daughters who are my entire world! As you can imagine working full time and raising twins keeps me very busy but I strive for balance so that I get some much deserved me time too.I find it interesting when men say they are old fashioned, meaning they pull out chairs and open doors. Since when is being a gentleman "old fashioned" and if that's true it's so sad :( Really...what I'd like is a little romance and passion! Do they exist anymore? I want a relationship loaded with affectionate gestures like hand-holding, deep kisses and slow dancing in the kitchen on Sunday mornings over coffee :)I burn candles and incense like they are going out of style. I'm intelligent and am not really interested in anyone that is intimidated by that. I am not interested in someone who "needs" me. I want someone who "chooses" me because of who I am and despite my imperfections. I'm very independent, have a wide variety of interests and an amazing group of friends. I'm looking for someone who compliments me and can introduce me to new things as well as enjoy my interests. I'm a social butterfly who loves to meet new people. I'm the random girl at the bar who will spark up a conversation with just about anyone (just about). I'm a people addict. I am continually amazed by how many crazy talented people I meet! If you don't talk to people you miss out on so many awesome connections!I have an extremely quick wit and LOVE to laugh, even though I hate the sound of my own. I love to make others laugh too and my friends always say that I tell THE BEST stories of anyone they know. Amusing banter between friends is one of my favorite pastimes. If you take yourself too seriously, we wouldn't be a good match. I drink copious amounts of coffee.I think there is nothing more enjoyable than a weekend camping trip with friends. I'd like to get into some hiking but have only ever been once. I love anything associated with the water! Someday I'd really like to learn to sail. I love road trips - there are so many beautiful things to see here in WA. I'd love to travel outside of WA more someday.I enjoy doing yoga immensely and someday hope to be a master at it :) It is good for my body and mind and essential for me to maintain balance. I practice as often as I can.I am trying to take better care of myself than I have in the past. Eating healthier and getting some kind of activity in every day has become a priority for me and my kids. That being said...I can appreciate good junk food as much as the next person.My favorite book of all time is Kurt Vonnegut's "Breakfast of Champions". My favorite movie of all time is "The Breakfast Club" My favorite singer of all time is Shawn Colvin. My favorite food is Thai (I'd eat it every day if I could). I love movies and a good t.v. I unplugged from cable over 4 years ago because it was poisoning me and my family! I studied music in college on a partial vocal scholarship but never did anything real with it (unless you count singing in the shower). If you were to plug in my iPod for a listen you'd be surprised at the wide range of artists/genres. I'm a fan of just about everything, except hardcore rap or death metal.I am an old raver (yeah, I said it) so electronic music, trance in particular, really speaks to me. I love to dance but mostly to electronic genres. I have been learning to spin poi (fire spinning)over the last several years though I haven't actually graduated to fire yet because of my deep, respectful fear of fire. This is a skill I would really like to master as well. I have some friends who are some of the best spinners I've ever seen and I try to learn what I can from them.I believe in recycling and have a genuine love and concern for other people and the planet. I've been to college (but haven't finished my degree yet). I plan to go back to school Winter term to pursue a degree in nursing. I'm not religious, but deeply spiritual. I'm a fantastic cook and love to bake (especially cheesecake)! I love red wine a little too much (and I make no apologies for it). I subscribe to the theory that there isn't much that a glass of red wine and a hot bubble bath can't cure (or at least seriously bandage). As I'm sure there is to everyone, there is way more to me than I could ever explain here. Let's get together and talk over a drink! I just started this profile to try and meet some new people and make some new connections. Wherever things go from there is fine by me. I believe in the social lubrication of alcohol on a first meeting because I get nervous butterflies. lol I'm versatile though.. a glass of wine by the waterfront or a good beer at a local dive with decent music and vibe.
