I am a catch if you prefer an angelfish over a goldfish! You know the ones I'm talking about...the ones looking only for gold! Not here, not me! I'm not looking to be supported but rather complimented! And please no dogfish...I'm tired of feeling like a suckerfish!I don't pretend to be someone I'm not, because I'm good at being me. I might not be proud of some of the things I've done in the past, but I'm proud of who I am today. I may not be perfect, but I don't need to be. Take me as I am or watch me as I walk away.I am a single mom of two teenage boys. They are my world and my priority and I have them 100% of the time. I am not ashamed of some of the "mistakes" I made when I was younger. I don't see them as mistakes but rather the choices that made me the strong, indepedent, resilient, mother I am today. I put myself through college as a single mom, have a great career and purchased my own house, so I guess I expect a man with the same motivation. I'm looking for a caring, fun-loving, good guy who has his crap together...if you don't have a job or if you live at home with mommy and daddy don't bother wasting your time. I enjoy a variety of different activities from anything outdoors to chilling on the couch drinking a beer while watching a good football game (esp USC! Go Trojans!) I'm the type of girl who isn't afraid of getting down and dirty and then getting cleaned up for a night out on the town. I am not looking for a man to make me happy but rather to be happy with a man.Oh, and if I view your profile and don't send you a message, don't assume I'm shy because if I'm interested I have no problems reaching out first. Its more likely that either I'm not interested or there is something in your profile that made me believe we would not be a good match. I'm pretty much open to anything except a movie on a first date. Don't really understand how you are suppose to get to know someone while watching a movie. Doesn't make sense to me.     I am looking for a best friend to play with…now get your mind out of that gutter! Not to say I won’t want to be playful later but it’s not my main focus. I mean a best friend to go out and explore the world. I enjoy a lot of different sports, I don’t play as many as I use to but with the right partner we could have lots of fun. Activities I enjoy or would love to restart...golf, bowling, hitting a tennis ball around (would have to relearn "playing" tennis), skiing (I don't like to be cold so we would have to work that out ;), horse-I love shooting baskets, pool, I attempt to play darts, I am sure there are more but we can figure them out later.Activities I enjoy watching...Football- NFL, College sometimes, my man playing pretty much any sport, sometimes basketball and baseballI just finished my bowling season and may bowl during the summer. I bowled a ***this year and want to keep practicing at the very least so I can get my 300. I golf with my family and friends, and boy how the weather has been great for that lately. While I am still working I don’t stay too late, I love my job but you can burn out so I am very aware of the balance needed in life. I make sure I play or relax as much as I work. I love movies and have some specific television shows I like…yes, I am a TV addict! There is good news though…I’d rather go and do things than sit in front of a TV most of the time. Sometimes cuddling up and watching a good movie or show can make a perfect night. I love all kinds of movies, especially horror and action/thriller. I also continually read or listen to books. I am listening to two and reading one now... I’m a hard rock girl too but listen to just about any music. My family, friends, and my dog are very important to me and I love spending time with them. If you asked my friends and family how they would describe me they would say I am giving, kind, smart, fun, passionate, tenacious (slightly stubborn in a good way) and loyal. I love children and am very open to having a future with someone who already has children. I enjoy trying new things but I do have my favorite things I’m passionate about. I am most passionate about helping people and I am able to apply that in my job. I am a special education teacher, teaching the most wonderful and challenging students. My students are often medically impacted by their disability and my National Certification specialty is in the severe/profound area. My Masters is with a focus on Autism. I have been teaching for 15 years and I am blessed for I truly love my job! My faith is important to me, a positive energy I share though my actions. I attend church and it is a part of who I am. So....here is a peak into what I am looking for, what I enjoy, and where my passions run. I am looking forward to going out with you and seeing if we will have that spark. We will have fun. I don't have a perfect first date in mind, if that were the case I wouldn't be here. I love to be active and am often out walking around Capital Lake or golfing somewhere. If the weather doesn't permit then I may bowl or catch a movie. I for our first date we should do something along those lines.
