Life is good. It’s really good. There’s just one component missing. The perfect guy. Perfect *for me*, anyway… Perfection in general is boring and overrated. (Handsome, witty, sweet and a gentleman, though? Not overrated.:)Here’s the thing though… A lot of guys’ meetville profiles mention that they want someone who can “keep up” with them, and I am not looking for someone to keep up with or to keep up with me. I have a lot going on already. In addition to working quite a bit, we live in an incredible city; it’s hard not to want to be out exploring it every second of the day! Sporting events, the lakefront, restaurants, bars, museums… I’m looking to meet someone who will give me a reason to slow things down a bit. It would be super to meet someone who also has a great life and who will invite me to be a part of it and support whatever he’s into, but we don't have to share every interest or be out every night of the week together.… Fantastic! I’ll go out for wine night with the girls or stay in and read a book (dare I dream) and we’ll both be happy. But ideally, somewhere in the middle we’ll decide to stay in together and we’ll realize we don’t need to be “out and about” all the time to enjoy life in this city. Looking for a balance.I’m pretty well over the bar scene and 30, 40 and 50-something guys who are re-living college. Unfortunately that’s what my dating pool seems to have dwindled to but I am hopeful and optimistic that there is at least one guy left in the city who has grown up in lifestyle but isn’t afraid of getting a little silly with the right girl.Some additional facts you may or may not find useful:- I ditched my car about a year ago and am loving car-free life, so if you live outside the range of the CTA it could be tricky.-Though I am educated and have built a nice career and lifestyle for myself, I come from a very blue collar background downstate and carry those values with me. I like trying new things - Seeing new places - Meeting new people. But I still appreciate the tried & true... Like faithful friends and favorite places. 'Love the outdoor activities from backyard to beach to mountians -- I love it all. Also like doing almost all the "Girly stuff" too. There is a time for cuddling by the fireplace, watching "Chick Flicks" or maneuvering the mall maddness that just excites my heart!There are to many fun things I enjoy doing to list them all. Then there is my wonderful crazy family to share!My dear father was born in Germany and still has family there. My beloved Polish/Ukrainian stepdad is a "Yankee" I have a big family, who live all over the USA and in Europe. I was blessed to have a muticutual upbringing. It was great! Though I enjoy travel throughout the states and abroad, siteseeing and visiting a host of family and friends - Though I enjoy various hobbies, outings, sports and music - As well, I am blessed to have reached many of my goals and aspirations. I am a down-to-earth country girl who loves to go fishing, and camping. I like rodeos, tractor pulls, NASCAR, line dancing, crocheting, & photography. Although I do like to go shopping, I'd choose a bonfire over the mall any day! I love going riding with my friends in mule-drawn wagons, & have actually driven the wagon a few times. It's so much fun!My music interest is varied... I love country music, 80's, jazz, big band swing, rock, bluegrass, hip hop, & more; it just depends on the mood I'm in.
