One of the hardest things- at least for me- is talking about myself- but I'll give it my best. I am a huge sports fan. I love baseball and football, play tennis and worked for NASCAR before I decided to become a teacher. Working for NASCAR certainly was an experience, but it is nothing compared to the joy I get being a teacher. My friends joke that I never get out of teacher mode as when I am with my nephews I always try to find a teaching moment. For me, I don't mind being the cool aunt who loves to play outside but will also sit and read a book with them. Some people call themselves homebodies or " people on the go." I am a mixture of both depending on the day. There are days I want to get up and go- be it outside on a boat, taking a road trip or heading down the beach. Other days I am content with curling up with my dog on the couch to watch a movie, reading a book or listening to music.I am a mixed bag when it comes to both music and movies. My chick flicks sit next to my action movies and I have everything from Eminem to classical on my iPod. I love to read and am a bit of a nerd- yes I watch jeopardy! I am a bit of a hopeless romantic- I do wonder if the guys that open doors and actually are gentlemen still exist. I may be a bit of a tom boy when it comes to sports but at the same time i have my girlie moments- and being a hopeless romantic is one of those! Hello. Well this is awkward a one way conversation. I am a terrible speller and have atrocious grammer so hopefully this all makes sense. I am currently working as a Website Manager for a Not-For-Profit and I would like to eventually end up in publishing as a magazine layout editor, however I will most likely continue working for companies where I wear many hats. I enjoy playing video games, building lego sets and watching copious amounts of television. I love this golden age of television, I also have a soft spot for all those terrible but must watch train wrecks of reality television. As for music my tastes go all over the place but I like pop-punk, electronica, classic rock, and hip-hop. I would have to say my top five stranded on an island albums would be in no particular order; Blink ***Dude Ranch, Take Care -- Britney Spears; The Legend of Johnny Cash, and Give Up - The Postal Service.I would have to say what makes me unique is that I have quick wit, a love of all things digital, and am very energetic. My first date would include either coffee or a bar. We would have a wonderful time getting to know each other. We may even if it is not too cold go for a walk and learn about each others experiences.
