Hi there. I am an easy-going, fun- loving person who is as deep as I am playful.     Now that I have a chance to sit down and actually pen something worth reading...I am 33. I have high expectations of myself and of the people I love. I have found that far too many people have lowered their expectations in order to try to become happy. I don't think it is possible to be happy in any sense of the word if you're "lowering" anything, lest of all, standards or expectations.I am totally over cruising a club for a relationship - it stopped when I was in my very early twenties. I like to dance a lot, I enjoy a well-crafted drink when available but probably will never fall down drunk while in or out of your presence. I can't appreciate a sloppy person. A good impression while intoxicated is a lasting one. I am open to many different scenarios but my musts are these: 1. You have to read, at the minimum, a regular periodical. Please know what a periodical is. If you like book stores, museums, libraries or the Opera - I would consider a date with you. My treat.2. You must love and respect your friends and family and YOURSELF. I have no qualms about a significant other spending time alone, without me, with these two groups of people nor otherwise. I encourage it.3. You must take pride in how you look. I can admire a woman with a sense of tasteful but trendy. I will tell you often how fantastic you look. And you can expect me to always comb my hair, floss my teeth and have clean shoes. Fact.4. You must have a sense of humor. I am the first person to laugh at myself. I hope you enjoy a comedian because that's part of who I am. I haven't been on stage yet but I mustering the guts as I type. 5. You must have a moral compass or some sense of ethical value. 6. You must follow politics at a minimum. I expect you to know who the President, Prime Minister, etcetera, of your Country is.7. You must be intelligent. It's important to me to have a smart partner even if we are casually dating, I like to talk about things of substance.I am a loyal, genuine, honest, respectful, encouraging, courageous, up-front, thoughtful, one-of-a-kind, original. If you consider yourself the same, please feel free to message me. I realize I must sound sort of demanding but I think like a lot of people, I feel I have wasted time with people that do not fit some of my expectations. And I feel like I'm worth it, I guess. Take that for what it's worth.- think again. "amuse me" "don't approach me this way", "intrigue me", etc… get over yourself. If we were all infallible and perfect, we wouldn't be online trying to meet people. "Hey there" should be an acceptable salutation. Seriously, GET OVER YOURSELF! A first date requires an initial conversation to see what we're both interested in doing. I know how to show a lady a memorable time, count on that. I will be heavy on your mind afterward and I'm sure you mine. I am a foodie and like to go out for a nice dinner. I would love to visit some locally-owned restaurants with good company.
