First and foremost I'm a mom. If you can't handle that then I'm not the one for you. I'm not looking for casual dating or just a hook up, that's great if you are, but you should move on from here if that's all you want. I love my kid, my job, my family, and let's face it everything about my life. I want someone who can compliment that and come along side me. If your looking to change and mold the person you date then I'm not the person for you.

I am very happy with my life and looking for someone who feels the same. I am well educated and have 2 jobs that I adore. I hope to start a Master's degree in the next few years. I have many good friends and a huge family that I spend as much time with as I can. This summer I am managed a very successful Dragon Boat team that I am very, very proud of. I will also be continuing rowing lessons and hiking the West Coast Trail in Sept. I walk everywhere and only use my car if I absolutely have to. I'm getting a canoe club membership this summer and just ordered a brand new, beautiful tent. I can't wait to throw a cooler in the canoe and take off! I believe in 'give and take'. I always try to give more than I take.I am allergic to cats and not interested in profiles with awkward hand symbols or muscle shots. That's all for now. :)P.S. I wish there was an intent option that read: I want to date in hopes of finding a relationship. There seems to be a leap from 'nothing serious' to 'wanting a relationship.' Something spontaneous and creative. Or a drink at the pub. Lol.

I like to take photos of my kids at play. I read a book a week (novels; modern, classic, whatever), and wish to someday write one of my own. I have two kids from a previous marriage; they're full time with me and, of course, are my life. Who's kids aren't? Mine are friendly and talkative; they get that from their mother. I love to cook and pair my kitchen creations with wine or beer; as a family (parents and brother), it's one of our main "get-together" events. I think the first date should be casual and fun, with opportunities to talk and get to know each other. Dinner is a good choice, but so is an amusement park or fair, or just a picnic in the park. As long as there is conversation (and maybe wine to help said conversation along), a second date should follow.
