What can I say? It has come to this - I am trying this whole internet dating thing, again. In addition to being an eternal cynic, I guess I am also an eternal optimist. As such, while I don't expect anyone to read or pay attention to what I write, I will still try to provide an accurate but brief description of myself. I am a positive, energetic person, as I would have to be to work 80 hour weeks as a resident and still find time for friends and fun. My idea of fun ranges from pints or ****ails (seriously POF? since when is c*cktail a dirty word?) to opera/symphony to catching a football game. I will provide a more detailed list below, but the basic idea is that my likes are diverse and I'm willing to try anything. While I don't have a lot of free time, I am always willing to make time for people who matter to me. Not to be arrogant, but there's a little bit more to me than a paragraph can convey, and whatever it is, is better learned in person.What I am looking for: a Mensa-eligible millionaire with the body of a Greek god, the face of a male model and the heart of gold. Best ways to grab my attention:- make your message as brief and generic as possible; if I can tell that you copy and paste the same thing to multiple people, I will admire your brilliant time-saving strategy.- ***, no, defy the rules of grammar and spelling - the harder I have to work to decipher the message, the less room there will be for criticizing its contents- talk about yourself some more - I mean even if it occurred to me to click on your profile, it never hurts to reinforce the information one more time, especially with a life-story that's so riveting it's worthy of a Hallmark channel drama- include some pictures: any variation on the shirtless mirror pic; the close up on the body part you are most proud of;; creative use of angles, photoshop effects and cropping that hides your face can add that magic bit of mystery that every girl so desperately craves.I can keep going, but I feel like maybe I should save the rest for the ultimate guide to internet dating and make some cheddar.     Let me start by saying I'm not sure why I'm on here. I guess I frequently activate and deactivate my profile because I don't want a relationship, yet I don't want to miss out on any opportunities to potentially meet someone. Since I work crazy hours and go to school full-time, it's hard for me to go out and meet people. I know my profile says "wants to date but nothing serious", but I find these options misleading. When I had "casual/no commitment", I had swingers, creeps, and married men contacting me. I don't feel "Wants a relationship" is adequate either. Sure, I would like one...but only if it's the right person, and after we've gotten to know each other first. Who jumps into these things head first? That being said, "wants to date but nothing serious" doesn't mean 'serial dater' either. I'm just pretty selective in who I decide to let in my life. I'm a homebody for the most part, though I also love to see new places and try new things. Spontaneously road- Think I might move out there one day.Music, ethnic foods, and GRRM books make me happy.
