About Me

I’ I’ve taught toddlers and smelly middle schoolers English. I’ I’ve taken more wrong turns than I can count but they led me to discover new places and meet new friends. I dream in color, I have a penchant for the absurd, and as a true North Carolinian, am as sweet as sweet iced tea. I’m a very passionate person. I am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out one of my own. I adore grammar (and occasionally defy it), sleeping in (when kidless), reading (as much as possible. Yes, I am a bookworm), and cooking (but loathe doing the dishes). I am old fashioned (to a certain degree) and believe that ‘love conquers all,’ but that’s because I’m a hopeless romantic. I have a lust for all things great in this world: great food, great friends, and great adventures. Now that that’s out of the way, here’s a little bit (more) about me: • The first thing I do when I get home is change into comfy clothes (shorts/pj pants, tank top, anything but ‘real clothes’)• Eating is one of life’s important physical pleasures, and I enjoy it wholeheartedly (Foodgasms? Yes, please!)• I use phrases like “cool beans” and “awesome sauce”, which some find incredibly dorky. I, however, think they are cool (beans).• I correct people’s grammar (in my head).• There’s not a single country that I wouldn’t want to visit.• I love games (board games, card games, video games – you get the picture)• I stay up way too late way too often. (There’s just something about the nighttime that I find magical, if you will, that keeps me up) Can you relate?• I am generous, loyal, sensitive, sometimes sassy/sarcastic, but always sweet. I wear my heart on my sleeve too. Though sometimes I wish I didn’t.• I enjoy (and am good at) solving the puzzles on Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.     First of all, I am very serious about finding a long term relationship, and someone just as serious about that. I know that's a lot, but I'm ready to settle down. So, If you are still interested and still reading, here is a bit about myself. I am a laid back mother of two, who enjoys many of the simple things in life. My kids are my world and I am looking for someone who can appreciate that fact . I have my girls on a bi-weekly basis and it seems to work better for everyone involved. Laughing is one of my favorite things, so I want someone who I can laugh with one minute, but can also have a serious conversation with the next.
