I am an active, fun loving lady who loves travel, new adventures, movies, dining out, and sometimes just enjoying simple things like a sunset, a good book, or exploring a country road just to see where it goes. I am a country/small town girl with a great sense of humour who loves the outdoors, but also an occasional night on the town. I am comfortable in jeans, but enjoy dressing up occasionally for a fancy dinner. I exercise regularly (swimming, cross country skiing, walking, hiking in the woods, going to the gym). I eat healthy foods but allow myself to indulge occasionally. Family is important to me. I have 2 grown sons, with whom I have a good relationship. I get along with my ex. I love animals and have two cats from our local shelter. I am self employed, creating beautiful spaces for people. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty! I work hard when I work, I play hard when I play and sometimes I just like to relax. I have accomplished many things, and I always strive to be my best at whatever I take on. My friends would say that I am positive, intelligent, entrepreneurial, outgoing, honest, kind, caring and considerate. I appreciate those qualities in others. I don't bother with much TV, but I do enjoy movies, biographies and documentaries. I enjoy meaningful conversations about just about anything. Music is a passion. I am a singer/songwriter/bassist/guitar player and have performed semi-professionally for 8 years. I enjoy a wide variety of music and I love to dance. I feel it is important to give back to my community. I have often performed for charities and I have organized fundraising events. I love going to hot spots in the winter, and would love to see more of the world. I would love to learn how to fly. I enjoy the occasional beer or wine, but I do not drink a lot, and I am not interested in being with someone who does. Physical intimacy, for me, is a special and important part of a loving relationship.     I enjoy gardening at home and tinkering around the yard. I love the outdoors and camping and hunting even though I don't get to do much of it these days.     People say that love will just fall into your lap. I have never been one to sit on the sidelines. I believe that you need to take life by the horns. So here I am, taking life by the horns and into my own hands. I am first and foremost a Mom to an amazing 9-year-old son. He keeps me on my toes!! I love to hunt, fish, camp (tent and RV), and spend time around a campfire. I also have an artsy side, as I am in a community band and also teach private music lessons. Helping out my close friends and family is a big deal to me, I will do anything I can for them. Being active is a huge part of life for my don and I. I am on a journey to get healthy and workout ***times a week. (Schedule gets crazy sometimes, so I aim for 5, sometimes it is 3.). Being stuck inside is not on my agenda, so couch potatoes need not apply. I am the adopted Mom of my Mom's two cats (her boyfriend is allergic). I would much rather have a dog, specifically a German Shorthair Pointer. One downside: no dogs allowed in my apartment, so cats it is for now.There is so much more to me, but I don't want to give everything away here! Hope to talk to you soon. As long as it isn't a movie, I am game for anything that gives us an opportunity to talk! Bowling, shooting a game of pool, a little revolver action at the gun range (wish there was a better place to shoot a shotgun, as that is what I live for) or a walk around one of the lakes (even in the winter).
