Yep - I'm a nerd and proud of it. I rock it every day; literally. I love rocks. Oh - don't even get me started on fossils:) I have heard that nerdy is the new cool and I choose to believe it. My students disagree when I call myself a nerd. I think I have them fooled with the motorbike and tattoos. That or they are comparing me to the bald chemistry teacher sporting the lab coat in the class next door. In all seriouslness... I love my career. Hmmm... I am not really looking for anything. Just checking things and throwing myself out there again. I have 3 dogs who are my life, so if you are allergic, just don't like dogs or expect me to travel or visit often (if you live far away)... it's just not gonna happen. I work out lots and eat a somewhat vegan diet.
