I'm cheery and motivated, active and down to earth. I'm pretty fit -– in the summer, my life pretty much revolves around the wind forecast. In the winter I do have fun with snow sports, but can’t help but dream of warm water, steady winds, and big air. I'm very sociable, and I like to go out and spend lots of time with friends, old and new. However, I do covet my down time and could always do with more time to read. I’ I live downtown and it's fun - I've always lived in cities and need the energy, crowds, and entertainment that an urban core tends to have. I’d probably get lonely and sad if I had to live in the suburbs. When it isn't snowy you can find me cycling around town in a non-sporty, suits-and-heels, I-wish-Calgary-was-more-like-Environmental issues have shaped my career path, my values, and many aspects of my life - particularly what I choose to own and where I choose to live. I love what I do for a living - it's challenging, interesting, and it aligns with my values.Beyond the basic compatibility stuff, I'd love to meet someone with a similar lifestyle preference - happy living in the city for at least part of the year, but also keen to take off on outdoor adventures. Some concluding facts and tidbits:I admire people who work for a greater cause. I like kids, but I'm not interested in generating any myself. I value clever puns, smart writing, and well-told stories. I gravitate to sincere people with positive attitudes. Finally, I'm flattered when men send me thoughtful messages that suggest they've read my profile. First meet-up? Something chill and quick, in a public place (no offense to the majority of you who are safe and normal!). The second date can be longer and more date-like if we're both up for it.

Hello,I am originally from BC. Lived here for two years now.I like the city.Recently checked out heritage days, would be nice to meet someone to go on random adventures with.I would be interested in being friends first.I've rushed things before and it usually ends badly. Also there are a couple things I would tell you about myself before things went further. In a nutshell, just a girl looking for a guy who will light my fire.I guess ideally I am lookiing for someone who just gets me.I have been described as quirky. Also a bit weird.I will either get along with a person or I will have no use for them.I am an aquarius so I follow the beat of my own drummer so to speak.I absolutely love live music above all.I am looking forward to taking in a few shows this year.I work out of the city for most of the month so I do try to make the most of my days off.I have been told I am a loyal friend, someone who would give the shirt off of my back for someone in need.I try to treat everyone the way I would like to be treated so generally I would treat people well unless given a reason not to.In that case I wouldn't be outright rude, just not nearly as friendly. Also if I don't reply please don't take it personally I just don't think there would be any reason to waste each other's time.Happy fishing. somewhere public, close to the exit sign haha.See where the day takes us and see what happens next,or if there is a spark even.

I am a single mother to a beautiful child who is my life, my love, my everything. My life changed for the better because of my child. I also work full time so I would definitely be looking for someone with a similar home life as myself, someone who understands that my child comes first but my heart still has room for that special someone. So, meetville suggested I talk about my hobbies ... hobbies, hmm, what are those?! I don't really have time for hobbies since my little one takes up so much of my time. I do however enjoy a nice glass of wine, watching movies and some tv programs, outdoor activities, reading, shopping, and of course spending time with friends and family. I love to laugh so I am definitely interested in someone with a great sense of humour. Professionally, I have achieved my goal of becoming a teacher. I find my role right now challenging, and no two days are alike. Personally, I acheived my greatest goal in life when I had my child. Although I am proud of my accomplishments, there is definitely still a piece missing in my personal life, which is why I am here! I would love to find that special someone to complete my life. I always find sites like these to be really difficult, especially when asked to write about yourself, or basically, sell yourself in so many words. I think everyone is unique in their own way, and I think dating is a chance to find out for yourself what makes your partner unique, so I don't really want to ramble on here, like I'm filling out an application or something!! I like to get to know people in person, since so much gets lost in translation on these sites! That being said, if you're interested in getting to know me better, I'd love to hear from you!! :) I think the best first dates are something simple, like coffee, drinks, or appetizers. These kind of dates aren't huge time commitments but give a chace to get to know your date a little. They can progress into something more - lunch or dinner and helps to decide what to do for date 2!
