There is a lot to say about what I am looking for in a man. To sum it all up in one sentence, I am looking for a man who follows the bible and is ready to treat me like the mate that He intended me to be.I am not looking for an intimate encounter or anything resembling that. A lot of people have told me that's what this kind of site is for yet I have hope that someone else is looking for the real deal just like myself. I will not sway from that in the least. I am just here to see if I might find that special someone to complete my peaceful life :)I believe that laughter truly is the best medicine and that a smile can change someone's day. A little goes a long way, and kindness is contagious. I believe in miracles and true love. I believe what the Bible says is true and no one can convince me otherwise. I have learned to adapt with the best of them. I enjoy tanning and getting my nails done yet it's not a necessity. I love the simple things in life. I wish to be spoiled but not specifically with material things. I want to be someone's inspiration and motivation. I believe that life is too short for regrets and I believe that everything can be fixed and reached if you want it bad enough. When I look in the mirror I see truth. I have learned to love and accept myself. I see my weaknesses as well as my strengths. I believe that the truth will always set you free. Mistakes are just lessons learned. Never be afraid to apologize. I am very random and I like that about myself. I would love to sit in front of a bonfire and cuddle up inside "his" jacket. Hold hands on the couch doing nothing but watching a movie. Run like crazy in the rain to a destination unknown and giggle while we shake the rain from our hair. I can see myself laying my head on "his" shoulder in church and smile as I catch him looking at me from across the room. I honestly want someone to sweep me off my feet. Make me have hope that there are still good men in the world. You can surprise me:)

    I'm a VA girl who relocated to the DC area for the first time about 1.5 years ago -- I think that still qualifies me as a newcomer -- At 35, I have a successful career, a wonderful family and a close circle of girlfriends. I love the sense of adventure that travel brings and I’m always willing to try new things.I can be kind of a dork at times...I love Jeopardy, Trivial Pursuit and other board games, and visiting museums and historical sites (think I could find a couple around here?) Having lived through the Saints' Superbowl season in NOLA, I have become a football fan although I must admit, I'm still trying to figure out the game! We meet for brunch (great excuse to have a drink before noon) and then spend some time exploring one of DC's museums, historical sites or parks. Or maybe we just go to IKEA -- seriously, if you can assemble some particle board Swedish furniture using only pictures without killing each other, it's a good sign.
