I don't get this Meet Me / Favorites thing. That seems like the equivalent of staring at a girl in a bar. Why not say hi ***? It works much better :)I digress... I’ve been single for a bit and finally decided to step out there and give it a shot again. So, here I go!I am a divorced mom of a 14 year old son that I have nearly full time. My ex and I have been divorced for a very long time and he’s remarried, so there is no drama or unfinished business. I’ve been single for a little under a year and have been focusing on my career, home and self. I’m also one that likes to be free and clear of emotional residue from a previous relationship prior to starting another one. And really, who likes to date? It's awkward and nerve racking yet a requirement in order to live "happily ever after". I’m fairly bashful and am accused of being reserved at times. I can be at first, until I know someone. Afterwards, I am sarcastic, goofy and can get an entire Zoo Brew crowd to sing happy birthday to a friend. I'm terminally responsible and am blessed with the rare ability to have and use common sense. Here are a few more about me’s:I LOVE horror films. I want to be scared to walk down my hallway after the movie is over and run and jump into bed for fear of having my feet too close to the dreaded “underneath the bed”.Since I was a kid, I have been into zombies. When I say into, I mean into figuring out how to survive an outbreak. Yes, I watch the Walking Dead. Just to make it clear, if you turn, I will kill you :) .I can have a full length conversation about the most random things. If shoes could talk what they would say, imaginary origins of certain sayings, dolphins and their dark sordid habits, and the secret subculture of cats that live in the sewers by my home. I call it a vivid imagination, some call it odd. Hm.I’m Libertarian. I am a strong believer in civil rights. Everyone’s civil rights, not just Americans.I watch Top Gun and Independence Day every time it’s on TV. I didn’t realize I did that until a little while ago.I will dance in public and sing (horribly) with my window down. If I’m in the grocery store, it’s all over. The cart is my dance partner.I love Beavis and Butthead, dirty jokes, made up words, inside jokes, stupid human tricks, accents, baby animals and Chewy Spree’s (not the purple ones).I can’t handle flakey people. I’m too busy to deal with those who don’t follow through. Meh.I have 3 dogs and I’m allergic to them. I love my jerk faces and if I have to take a pill everyday to keep them, so be it.I love the sound of the banjo. So much so that I’m going to be taking lessons soon on how to play.With that (above), I am a music lover. I have a life soundtrack and music moves me.I have a male roommate. He’s like a brother to me. Like a real brother - I want to punch him most of the time and he annoys me. But, he's a big help most of the time. I am a non smoker. I quit in November of ***. I can’t date a smoker. I don’t care what anyone says, it doesn’t get easier but, I will never smoke again. Ever.I have recently started a very healthy lifestyle of eating and exercise (Eat To Live). I don’t care if you are a salad freak like me, but I can’t date someone who is very overweight and/or unmotivated. I like to (Maybe not like, but I go) go to the gym, hike, walk, etc. I have a goal I want to reach and want someone who can be a partner in it, not just watch on the side with a bag of Doritos in their hands.I have 5 tattoos. They are all colorful and not on my boobs…or my neck, or face, or behind my ear or anywhere else weird that will be regretted later.Chivalry and manners are a must. I am old fashioned with that. It is noticed and very appreciated.I don’t like feet.I hog the blanket.I love my Wonder Woman clothes.I wish I could wear a cape all the time.I’m blunt.I play dirty and will cheat at a card game. Hey, if you put your cards in my view, of course I will look. Duh.I am a happy person. I like my life. I would just prefer to share it with someone too.Now onto what I want in a guy (this is the hard part):Someone who knows themselves. I have a strong personality and I’m tired of people changing so drastically that they become the male version of me. I don’t want to date myself!Big smile. I had braces a few years ago and I love to smile. I love looking at a huge face squishing room lights up sparkly smile.Honesty. I don’t mean brutally jerk honest.Has his life in order. I pay my bills. Please pay yours.Smells good.Similar interests but enough different to make it interesting.Slightly a homebody.Normal.Lastly, I have a fairly busy daily life.     Have you ever been surrounded by people, but lonely? That is the situation I currently find myself. I'm always keeping myself busy with work and I've come to realize I have no one to celebrate the little successes with.     I am currently working Full time as Medical Coder and dual certitifed... I work 2 jobs one is from home medical coding for both .     I guess I am on here for many of the same reasons every one else is. I have a great relationship with my family, I'm a daddy's girl that's been replaced by the grand kids, haha!I enjoy an active lifestyle and try to be healthy. I like to run the 5 & 10K races, just do them & give myself something to keep working to improve (though the entry fees for those guys are getting pretty expensive!) working back up to this after more than a month down to shingles ( I thought that was something older people got, not me!)I love camping and backpacking. I get up early on some weekends just to hike around with binoculars and look at birds- for fun. I really like craft beers, good coffee, and trying different foods. I believe you should never stop learning and am taking some grad level classes, working toward a master's in wildlife management. I've moved around alot with my jobs. I do like to see new places. I can enjoy just about any kind of music. gangsta rap doesn't do it for me a whole lot but there are some. I mostly listen to public radio and classic rock, some pop and modern rock and a little country, though alot of it sounds the same or not like country to me... I like bluegrass, jazz, and blues, too.In short, life is good but it's more fun with a good friend and would love to find someone to do things with, especially hiking, backpacking, and adventures in general. Maybe something more can develop from that! A nice, headlamp-; enjoying a blast of the rest of the day! Ok, maybe not the first date. :)Coffee or brunch.
