I'm still not entirely convinced that the online method is the way to go...but nevertheless, going to give it a whirl. I'm a young at heart technophobe looking to meet someone like minded who wants to be in a relationship at some point. Obviously, getting past that first date hurdle is a good beginning... : )Let's start with dinner or coffee and see what happens. I might be wearing rose colored glasses, but I believe that romance still exists. Online is just a different forum for the initial meeting. I'm looking for someone who values trust, loyalty and family. It's important that you have interests of your own, but would love to meet someone who wants to share mine as well. I enjoy dining out, spending time with family, most music, live concerts and theatre, mountains, beaches, ice cream, a good cup of coffee and sporting events -..I believe growing up is optional. Laughing over ridiculousness, losing yourself in a great book, a lazy day indoors, beach vacations, the serenity of the White Mountains, sleeping in on a Sunday, breakfast for dinner or taking in a game at Fenway Park are some of my favorite things.     Mid-life has officially begun for me. I'm not feeling the rush to achieve as I did in youth. I'm certainly not over-the-hill! As a parent of grown sons, I enjoy, and anticipate grandchildren. I've yet to sit still long enough to write a best-seller (on my bucket list? maybe), though yarn gives me reason to pause at the end of most days. Okay, I confess, I like to knit. A lot. I'm a crafty *** I paint on canvas, calligraphy for weddings and in Asian style, like to sew, collage, and restore or reinvent (the young folks call it up-cycle!). With me there is never a dull moment. I enjoy the company of my kids, would love to live where I could adopt a cat or dog (Did I mention that I used to rescue mastiffs? They're more pony than dog, but loveable nonetheless.). Life is full and God is good. It would be fun to share the good things with a companion. No pressure, no drama, no game-playing. Just interested in get acquainted, enjoy some laughs (maybe a coffee or a bottle of wine?) and see where things lead. I've been known to invite a gentleman up to see my etchings, or for dinner and a movie...ya just never know where things will lead! I like a man to choose a first date's details. It shows the mettle of a man when he can orchestrate a thoughtful first date. It's not what he spends, or who he's connected with, but the effort to plan and execute, with room for spontaneous change, well, that's attractive! And, usually grounds for a second date...
