I'm an English student, and that means that I spend a fair amount of time with my head stuck in a book. Maybe that makes me a bit of a geek, but I don't know how anybody survives without books in their life.I love music. Real music. Music that is art and not just entertainment. I love going to gigs - either at sprawling festivals or in small bars. I haven't been to nearly enough of them in my 25 years though and this is something that I'm determined to put right.I'm also a bit of a film and TV buff. I devour box set after box set. If a better show than The Wire exists then I haven't seen it. Call me old fashioned, but I love a trip to the cinema as well. You can't beat it when the lights go out and that hush settles over the audience before a film starts.I'm a man of contradictions. I'm quiet, yet opinionated. Laid back, but passionate. Shy, yet confident. I like intelligent, meaningful conversation, but I detest small talk. I like spending quality time with good friends but I also can't function properly without plenty of alone time.I don't really go for a particular type of girl in terms of looks, though I definitely have a weakness for big dark eyes. I like girls who are intelligent, creatively-minded, that little bit different, who can think for themselves, and have a pretty good sense of their own identity. It would definitely be nice to meet a girl who shares similar interests with me, but at the same time I don't want to be with the female version of myself, because that leaves no room for that spark, does it? I can't stand arrogance or fakeness. I am looking for a relationship but at the same time I'm not the kind of guy to get serious too quickly.     Here’s the low down. Yes, I have a beard and I don’t shave for anyone. Some people think it is a trampy look, but quite frankly I couldn’t care less.
