I've worked for Fortune 20 companies, and now I run my own small business in healthcare. I consider myself a civic-minded person, so advocating for others, and volunteering when I can, are essential to my life. Yes, I do help old ladies cross the street. I'm equal parts critical and forgiving. I love cars but wish we had big-city public transportation. I abhor lying, and I seem almost emotionally and physiologically incapable of doing so. And yes, I am too trusting, but (un)fortunately I excel at noticing problems/errors/inconsistencies in everything I encounter (I am a details freak).I am not a solitary person, and I cherish the company of other people. I love meeting new people, especially if they come from a different culture. I will start up a conversation with strangers. However, I also am quite direct and tend to make enemies of inept customer service people (but I go out of my way to praise/tip those who are good!).I'm a reluctant Columbusite: I left my heart in Europe, and a smile crosses my face every time I visit NYC. I'm still learning the rules of dating: it seems one must feign disinterest and be reluctant to share a connection. I do hope I'm wrong about that. Going to a nice place for dessert and taking a walk would make a nice date.

My interests include fashion, textiles, art, coffee houses, photography, music.....I work in retail, and I've had my own business in the past. i'm currently working for a corporation, but intend in the future to go back to having my own business. I love what I do and Do what I love. Fashion and Fabrics are a huge part of my life. I was twice engaged to people who didn't like my eccentric fashion and pretended they did until we were engaged, then decided they would reveal they hoped I would change. I love making my own things, and I love color and creativity. I love plaids and prints.... and lots of them!I believe in God, I also believe in leprechauns, Angels and Fairies. I think there are parallel worlds out there we yet to understand. I believe in miracles/phenomenon/ or whatever you want to call them. Hope is my strongest guide, and while things haven't always been easy, I hold to the visions I have in my heart. I enjoy conversation, getting a meal together, the general stuff. A good fantasy movie or science fiction is great as well. I am more of a music person, so going to see live music, sit in a coffee house and listen to someone play is always enjoyable. I don't go very often but mini golf, bowling, or that sort of thing is also fun to do.
