Yes, I tend to write A LOT! That's my nature ... Although I don't "wear it on my sleeve", I'm a Christian, and am currently reading "The Ragamuffin Gospel".. and it's one of the most inspirational, deeply touching books I've read in a long time).Professionally, I operate a consumer counseling organization that helps people re-negotiate their debts, avoid foreclosure and bankruptcy. I've worked in the legal field, entertainment business, education and public service at different times over the course of my life, but at this particular point in time I'm experiencing more personal satisfaction than ever before as a result of seeing people retain their homes and avoid financial disaster.My favorite kinds of music include classic rock, alternative and progressive. The fact that I've worked with artists and production companies in the music and related entertainment industries for many years has had a large influence on my taste in music, and helps keep my finger on the "pulse" of current trends. I promoted concerts both in college and professionally for a period of time (and a few days ago, a longtime friend told me over lunch I've still got the "Heart of a Promoter" - I think that's a good thing, LOL). A few examples of my favorite artists include U2 (who I booked into a ***seat college cafeteria on their first U.S. Tour back in ***, The Eagles (who I book into the UF football stadium in January, ***, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, The Offspring, Blink 182, Eric Clapton, the Grateful Dead, R.E.M.I pride myself on being a good writer and communicator … as well as being a good listener. I know myself to be kind, compassionate, unselfish, and a champion for the underdog and underprivileged. In particular, I’m passionate about not just the welfare and future of my own children (teenagers who primarily live with their mother, and I see on a regular basis) but also the well- They are, after all, the future of our world, and hopefully our current generation won't leave it in such a bad shape..If it’s not already obvious from what I’ve written … I’m a deep thinker and very philosophical ... committed to a lifelong pursuit of growth and self-improvement ... open minded, adventurous, spontaneous, always willing to try new things and “experience new experiences”. Ideally I’d love to meet someone who shares some of my hobbies and interests … but who also has many of her OWN that perhaps I could consider trying, too. I’m drawn to someone with passion for spontaneity who is a good conversationalist, independent thinker, assertive, unafraid to speak her mind ... with even a little mischief and "feistiness" sprinkled on top.I really enjoy being active (movies, sporting events, hearing live bands, concerts, comedy clubs, theater, traveling, other events), and other hobbies include cooking, fishing, reading, following current events, being a “news junkie”, watching “edgy” television (I'm hooked on "Breaking Bad" and love almost EVERYTHING on Showtime & HBO, including "Shameless", "Girls" and "Boardwalk Empire"), great films (Godfather I and II, along with "Pulp Fiction" and "Caddyshack" are my faves), good coffee and conversation, coaching, & mentoring at-risk young people.But as much as I enjoy “being active” ... I ALSO love and greatly appreciate a quiet, simple, intimate night at home … cooking together, laughing together, watching TV or a movie, and simply “hanging out.Interested? My idea of a great date is a setting where my friend and I can relax in a comfortable, unique setting, and truly have an opportunity to talk and get to KNOW each other! I love out-of-the-way, independently owned cafes, coffee shops, funky/bohemian settings like the "Stardust"But regardless of whether it's coffee, dinner, lunch, a sporting event, or a music venue ... the activity itself is ONLY a backdrop ... what REALLY matters is sharing laughter, conversation, and a passion for life and its endless opportunities.
