About Me

I am looking forward to meeting a female companion that, first of all, I can call my "best friend" before anything else, and who, among other things, would enjoy sharing outdoor fun activities, as well as social functions, and, of course, last but not least, romance and love, as a couple. I am real, not into the bar scene, or playing "head games" with anyone's emotions. I love to chat, but I am also a very good listener and enjoy "in-depth" conversations. I believe that the simple things in life can give us the most pleasure. For example, a simple walk and talk holding hands can mean a lot. I may not be a world traveller, but I do enjoy going on road trips to different cities to shop or see the sites. I especially enjoy the outdoors, and love to ATV in summer and snowmobile in the winter because it gets me out exploring the beautiful country we have right here in our own back yard, and photographing it. When out ATVing one time in early Spring, I came across two abandoned 3 week old kittens on a railbed, that were freezing to death - brought them home, took them to the vet, nursed them back to health, and now they are healthy and playful brother and sister kittens. I never thought I would end up with two kittens, I was always a dog lover, but they are cute, fun to watch play together, and good company. I also like the finer things in life like theatre, fine dining, and attending various organized social events. Overall, I hope to find someone that is down to earth, healthy, and has a good personality so that we can compliment each other. I have been told that I don't look my age as you would see if you met me, and people have guessed my age to be in the forties, I consider myself an average looker, I am in good health (take no meds or pills), active, a non-smoker, social drinker if at all, never did drugs, and no tatoos. So, if you share some of my thoughts and think we may have some compatibility, I would be happy to hear from you! Good luck in your search, and hopefully if we meet I might be the one to end it for you ! For the first date, I think simple is best - go for a coffee, or sit in a quiet restaurant and talk - no pressures - however I think this is something that really should be decided together.

A friend told me about this site. Just thought I would check it out for a bit, see what is biting...or at least nibbling. It suggests I should talk about my hobbies, talk about myself and what makes my unique, talk about my goals/aspirations and my taste in music.Do women really want to hear about that stuff? Please help me out and let me know what it is you REALLY want to know....please! I will share that I spend practically every weekend at the lake from May 15th until September 30th. So, it better be something important to keep me (or us) in the city during that time. Some things that my Mom taught me:Religion ........ "You better pray that comes out of the carpet"Logic ............."Because I said so, that's why"Irony............."Keep crying and I'll give you something to cry about"Wisdom......... "When you get to my age, you'll understand"Justice ..........."One day you'll have kids, I hope they turn out just like you!!"Some more words of wisdom:Never get jealous when you see your ex with someone else, because our parents taught us to give our used toys to the less fortunate.Girls are like phones. They love to be held, talked too, but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected! Sometimes your Knight in Shining Armor is just a Retard in Tin Foil. Before you diagnose yourself with Bipoloar Disorder, Low Self Esteem, Depressive Disorder, Physcotic Disorder, make sure you aren't just hanging around a bunch of ***holes.I stopped fighting my inner demons, We're on the same side now.I had a great relationship with a girlfriend once, but she did a lot of complaining. Once, she complained that I never take her anywhere expensive. So...I took her to a gas station. Amazingly, I only needed 5 stitches to close my wound. My favorite relationship expression: We may not have it all together, but together we have it all..you know,...night! I once had a first date who drank too much, who then passed out, who then peed in my car as I drove her home. It sure would be fun to top that!...or at the very least keep my car dry.

Hmmmmm....... I guess I'd better re-write this section...... it seems no matter what I say, someone just has to "read between the lines' and come up with the wrong ideas about me. I suppose that could just be an indication of my literary incapacity to accurately describe myself, but I prefer to think that I'm simply being missunderstood.OK, here goes; first of all, I like motorcycles. That does not mean I am some kind of hard-core "living the life" biker dude - I am nothing of the sort. I just like bikes and, generally, the people that ride them.Secondly, I like to work out and I used to be into bodybuilding. Some people seem to think that's a bad thing although I don't know why.......anyway, I make no apologies for it.Thirdly, I enjoy target shooting ( not hunting, just shooting paper targets) and I am quite comfortable around firearms and the people who use them. If this is all it takes to become a social leper, then I'm afraid I'm doomed.....Some of the less controversial things I like are:Dogs. I don't think I've ever met a dog I didn't like, and I often find that dogs are better "people" than some real people are (certainly more honest anyway).Hot weather, beaches, and palm trees. ( and piña coladas to go along with them).Thunderstorms. Everybody needs a reminder now and then, that nature is more powerful then humans will ever be.Humour.. If you're not laughing, how can you truly be enjoying life? I believe I have a great ( sometimes outrageous) sense of humour - and my friends seem to agree! ( but then, they are my friends and might not feel compelled to tell me if I'm being boring or bothersome).Traveling. As a way to get to those beaches and palm trees mentioned above, and to meet interesting people, experience different cultures, and TRY NEW TYPES OF FOOD!!!

I am a very active person, who does not like to stand still. I play sports ***times a week, and try to keep active as much as time allows. I have been told that I am a very nice guy and willing to help any person, be it with a computer problem, fixing their bike or renovations around the house. I'm a bit of a handyman and not afraid to take on any challenge. I like to look at things this way "There are never any problems, just unique solutions".At the same time, I like to unwind listening to music, doing some reading or just watching a movie.I have a very positive outlook on everything in life and find something good in every person. We are all unique and that's what makes things fun and exciting in life. I love to travel and have had the fortune to go to Europe a few times, and loved it. I also love going to the beach and just enjoying the warm sand and water and taking in the rays.I love to cook and have been praised about my cooking, something I started experimenting in and got really good at it. I can take just about any food, look into the fridge or spice cabinet and whip up a delicious meal.My tastes in music are varied from rock to blues to heavy metal to hard rock or new age and so on, as well as anything from the 60's, 70's and 80's. I have a huge music collection that i have gathered over many years. A nice dinner, a drink, a nice quiet coffee shop, with soft music. A walk in the park, or lets both decide
