I am a 52 year YOUNG MALE, who is fun, and outgoing with a positive attitude and drama free!!All my friends and kids say I dont look or act my age, which I take as a compliment!!! I know when to be serious when the time calls for it, but most of the time im joking around and having fun!So what do I want? What am I looking and longing for? Because she took the time to show me she missed me, was glad to see me, and was glad I was home with her hug, smile, and kiss and showed me that the worlds problems could wait! But still hoping she's out there somewhere.Don't like talking myself up a lot. Let me just say, I'm honest, clean, dependable, and consistant, and a hard worker and a man of my word. You will not find a person who is more loyal and considerate of your feelings.With that all I ask is that we start slow, and have fun and see what happens. Ha ha First date, hmmmm well as I said, I'm pretty easy to please, we could be doing anything as long as we both enjoy each others company. Somewhere where we could talk, maybe go for a walk, a drink, dinner, a movie....or I can fix you dinner.Ideal first date? I mean if we could do whatever we wanted to.....would be on a balcony of a hotel, or penthouse that overlooks the ocean, having dinner by candlelight under a full moon, With a gentle breeze coming off the ocean drinking wine, and watching the candlelight, flicker between us as we gaze into each others eyes and share our stories.But then again I can be happy at Wendy's or Braum's as well, lol. It doesn't matter where your at when your with someone who you care about and they care about you. But first we have to find that person!The heart knows, when it knows!

Otherwise, leave this gathering." -RumiWriting about myself is difficult, but required, so here's my brief ramble. ~~I feel that the focused pursuit of end results alone leads to unhappiness. For me, happiness comes through the process of getting where I'm going. Sharing that experience with a partner, and taking part in their journey, makes the experience more meaningful. ~~I am a sane and loving person who connects well with others. I value friends and family and animals. I'm politically left of center and that is reflected in my work as a business owner, filmmaker, teacher, writer, and musician. I try to walk a fine line between being non-judgemental and making the decisions I must in order to get through each day. ~~I am an educated person with two masters degrees. As a musician I have performed with orchestras, sang backup with the Carpenters for 5 years (I was very young at the time), gigged with numerous bands and scored hundreds of films and TV shows. My graduate degrees are in film and I currently make my living as a producer/director/writer and university professor and department chair. I am fortunate to make a living doing what I love to do. ~~My musical tastes are diverse; I appreciate every style. Rock, pop, jazz, classical, blues and alt country have a place in my heart. ~~I love great comedy and worship humor. I have a personal prescription that requires an hour of humor every day. ~~I am spiritually tuned to the world but non-dogmatic. I am a panentheist whose beliefs are most closely reflected by Taoism but am comfortable with many traditions. I believe honesty is truly the best policy--nobody was ever caught telling a truth. Rumi's advice was to risk everything for love. That appears to be the main reason we are here--to love and be loved. From my experience, relationships must have three elements to succeed: intimacy, commitment and passion. If any of these is missing, it just won't work. Having these parts in place is only one step. Balancing them with the needs and interests of the individuals and, at the same time, creating an environment that allows the main three to grow and evolve over time--well, that's the trick, isn't it? I believe it can be done. The binders that hold it all together are humor, openness, honesty and acceptance. I think we all want the same thing; to adore someone and be adored in return. A good relationship is worth working and persevering for. Finally, I hate coathangers; they tangle, hide out behind the dryer and mock me.Well, it appears that I am surprisingly capable of writing on and on about myself.     I like the outdoors when its not to hot, or I can be in water. I like to go camping when I can. I have a huge tent, it's 20' X 13', lots of room inside, I like to be able to stand up in a tent. Christmas, Discovery Channel, traveling, bbq wings, snicker doodles, holding hands, long slow soft kisses, sunset at the beach, toasting marsh mellows in the camp fire, the journey of self discovery, learning from the past and looking forward to the future with one I hold near and dear to my heart. Something light and casual. A walk on the beach or coffee would be great.
