I never thought I'd be trying this but here I am. I'm not a desperate or lonely person.....just alone and I like go get out and have a good time. Sometimes sitting around the house is fine but I don't make a habit of it. I enjoy riding my Harley, going to the lake, cooking out or hanging out with friends.....and watching football.Finding my forever best friend and companion would be a nice future for me. I certainly do not want to be a career single person. My friends and family would describe me as a very very giving person and very unselfish. This is almost to a fault but I can be talked in to do things for myself......I have already spoiled myself...ha ha.I am an intelligent person who enjoys intelligent coversation. I enjoy hiking and backpacking, road trips, new movies accompanied by huge buckets of decadently buttered popcorn, going to concerts by bigshot entertainers (mostly any variety of rock, but I'm open to many musical genres), live comedy and even the occasional theater experience. I'm also down for cozying up in front of the TV to watch shows we both enjoy. I'm witty with a bit of an off-kilter sense of humor, I'm halfway intelligent, fun and easy-going, and I'm a little bit on the quirky side. I am most definitely a glass-half-full kind of guy -- and why not? I travel and hike and take pretty pictures for a living, for cryin' out loud! One of the reasons I'm on this site is because I do and see many interesting things in the course of doing what I do for both work and fun, and so many times I catch myself wishing I had someone special in my life to share these moments with. I have owned my own business for over 20 years, and while it hasn't made me rich, it's something I really enjoy – which is, come to think of it, a type of wealth all its own.I'm not a suit-and-tie kind of guy. Let's just say I'm casual. I can dress up when needed, so don't worry about me embarrassing you at the company Christmas party. (Not due to my attire anyways -- you might want to hide the lamp shades.)If you're my S.O., I'll do just about anything for you. Keeping your meetville profile active and public six months into our relationship might have me second-guessing that strategy, but unless I have any reason not to, I much prefer to trust that special someone in my life. Funnier, too!I'm a creative person who loves to write and photograph, the latter of which I do for a living. I'd love to spend my time with someone with similar traits. That would be a dream come true. At the very least, I need to be with someone who understands that a creative/artistic person needs to let that side shine through on a regular basis. It is the essence of who I am.What am I looking for in a woman? Intelligence is very appealing to me. I want to be around someone who I can learn from. I'd like to have interesting conversations about subjects that inspire or provoke us. I'd love to meet someone with a great sense of humor, and perhaps a bit of a mischievous side. I like being kept on my toes! Also, as I mentioned above, if you're someone with creative tendencies, in whatever medium, that's very attractive to me. I want to be inspired by the woman in my life, and that can come in many forms, from her creativity, her compassion for others, her wit and wisdom...I also want to have someone in my life with whom I have things in common, from movies and music to the ways we see the world in general.At this stage of life I also think men and women should have a network of friends and family that can be folded into a relationship, kind of a "yours, mine and ours" type of thing. Eventually I want to meet and become friends with your friends and family, and I want you to do the same with mine. But I also think it's important for both parties in a relationship to be able to do things with friends beyond the confines of couple-dom. Do you occasionally go for drinks after work with the girls, or a movie or concert with a longtime friend? No problem! As long as you don't do those types of things to the exclusion or detriment of our relationship, I'm all for you having a life beyond "us." I need that, too. I'm confident enough in my ability to make you happy that the time we spend together will be your favorite time, and the time you want the most of.I'm not a cheater. Never have been, never will be. I'm a naturally gregarious person who loves to talk to people of all stripes. I need someone who doesn't think that the mere act of me being nice to a waitress means I'll be meeting her in the backseat of my car behind the restaurant when her shift is done. (That back seat is reserved for you! See? Who says romance is dead?) Naturally, I expect the same from you.I also like signs of affection whether we're out and about or just sitting around the house watching a movie. The slightest gesture, a hand on my knee, a glance, resting your head on my lap, whatever -- those things mean a lot to me.
