I have decided to re-write my Profile. meetville can be a very strange place and I've decided to be a little more specific about who I am, what I am looking for, and where I am headed (as if I know!). . .I am 48, short (4'11") with long, white blonde hair and I am thin. I am no beauty queen, but I get a little bit of attention here and there. If you are looking for a Barbie, a Trophy Girlfriend, or someone who puts in a lot of hours on her appearance, keep looking. I'm not her.I am also separated after a long marriage ***years). I have been separated for over a year now and am in the middle of a divorce. It's become an arduous process. The marriage is over. DO NOT contact me if you wish to judge me for dating while still married or act surprised when I say I am separated. You do not know my circumstances and I don't wish to discuss them with strangers. Suffice it to say, my Profile while soon change to "divorced". I am a fine, good woman with a strong sense of moral values. I DO NOT sleep around nor am I going to start now. Honestly, I don't like most country music. I am intelligent and always looking for ways to better myself and grow. I believe in God but I do not attend formal services within an organized religion. I don't wish to offend anyone, but I am not at a place in my life where I want to drink the Kool-Aid at the moment. If you attend church services, I think that's great and it doesn't mean I wouldn't like to meet you. As for political views, please don't discuss them with me. I grew up in a very political environment and I DO NOT like having other people's opinions spouted at me. If you want to make a good impression, do as meetville advises and keep your opinions to yourself. Being smart and politically knowledgeable means you vote, not rant.I don't drink. I grew up in an alcoholic household. It's a personal decision for myself alone and I wouldn't impose it on anyone else. If you drink, fine. Please be honest about so-called "social" drinking. My idea of a good time will never be hanging out in a bar with a bunch of "friends" on a regular basis. Sorry.Also, I don't smoke. I don't like hanging out in smoking environments.I am looking for a lot of things in a guy. He should be intelligent and interested in the world around him and his own personal growth, whatever that may entail. There is a certain type I am attracted to but it does not limit me. At this point in time, I am looking for someone for reasonable companionship moving towards deep friendship and a possible committed relationship. This may come as a shock to the general male population, but I don't think too many women are interested in your motorcycles, your boats and your other assorted toys. Maybe other women do and I'm just weird - I personally could care less. I have a dog, but I am not going to post pictures of him here on meetville. 5. Post your real age and your real occupation. If you're honest, it doesn't really matter anyway.6. Please, please, please take off your baseball caps in your pictures. 7. And this is a weird thing I've actually experienced more than once here: I am looking to EVENTUALLY find a real, pleasant adult relationship. I am not looking to jump into the next one blind and profess undying love and get married right away. SLOW DOWN!!8. I have read "Fifty Shades of Gray". I am NOT that girl. Please don't think you are THAT guy.9. If you are angry about a lot of stuff, please pass me by. I don't DO anger anymore. I don't want yours.These are a few of the things I'd like to find:1. A guy available for a real, adult relationship. This means normal date-like stuff in the beginning. This DOES NOT have to be the most expensive thing you can think of to impress me. Please don't try to impress me!!2. A guy I am reasonably attracted to. I like a lot of different things when it comes to physical attractiveness and I am open-minded, however, I don't lie to myself. If you're not attracted to me, I get it. Expect the same from me - I don't know too many people who can fake it.3. I'm juggling a lot of changes. You're going to have to be patient with my schedule working retail, legal stuff and logistical issues with young-adult children.4. Someone who likes to take walks and talk. Someone who likes to laugh and hang out. Someone you can see sitting across the home dinner table from and just enjoying shooting the breeze about the day. I'd like to hike the Appalachian Trail someday. I'm not a big beach girl. I like trees and mountains and lakes.5. Someone who cares whether I make it home from work okay, cares if I slam my finger in the car door or wakes up the next morning. No obsession, just concern and interest in what's going on in each other's lives and minds.6. A guy who wants to be a partner and a helpmate. I'm no one's Mommy anymore.Please understand, this profiling yourself on a public website is awkward and I hate the whole thing. I have a serious case of dating cold feet.Not trying to be mean or anything else, just a little more specific. I wish the best for everyone out there!
