I miss all the little things that a relationship brings...like sharing that first cup of coffee in the morning & just talking...going to the grocery store...cooking dinner together & being silly...cuddling up on the couch to watch a good movie...leaving a note just to say "I love you"...surprising him with his favorite candy or a movie just because...It truly is just the little things that mean so much to me!!!I love travelling...weekend getaways, cruises, just exploring new places...going to the beach, camping, hiking, amusement parks (though I don't do rollercoasters...=O), playing basketball, miniature golf, pool, bowling, bbques by the pool with my family & friends, working out, Zumba, dancing, listening to music, movies, thunderstorms, candles, kissing in the rain, the Bucs, the Yankees...I love going to the beach to watch the sunset...going to an outdoor concert on the water with great friends & a cold cerveza..dressing up & I love reggae, reggaeton, jazz, pop & rock but am not too wild about country! I am just learning to do Salsa, Bachata & Merengue...so please be easy on me!! & patient!! =) The 1st time we meet should just be something simple....see if there is any chemistry! This dating thing is almost like a full time job and I really am a firm believer in not wasting anyone's time if you aren't feeling it! I'm NOT one of those girls who doesn't care about the company as long as you are taking me to a nice place! Now that we got that out of the way....if things go great and there is DEFINATELY an attraction...the beach at sunset would be awesome...someplace quiet where we can enjoy a nice glass of wine n conversation! I like to get outdoors a lot, out to the mountains, or maybe to another country. I'm interested in the world, ready to learn more about myself and others, and would love to get to know another person deeply in a long-term relationship. A deep relationship has a lot of value to me. I'm not looking for "happiness" in life - I'm looking to experience a range of emotions, acknowledging the pain and the beauty of everyday life. I don't mean that in a trite way - it seems like we can get preoccupied with thinking we're supposed to be happy all of the time, and miss out on some really special people, places, feelings. I'm interested in a lot of things, and get excited about exploring ideas from all points of view. I like healthy living, (physically, emotionally, etc) and am excited to make healthy changes - some of which can be pretty hard. Not interested in drugs or heavy drinking (but I love a good IPA or glass of wine). There's a lot to learn, about myself and others and the world, and I'm open to it, and open to growing and changing. I dream of living in a beautiful home somehow close to nature, and feeling calm, creative, and comfortable with a partner there. I don't like lots of clutter - I get too confused! My friends would describe me as progressive (or maybe liberal) in most arenas, definitely not conservative. They would probably also say I'm over-educated and on occasion a little too excitable. I've deeply interested in experimental music of all kinds - classical, jazz, punk rock, indie rock - the stuff that some people might call weird. I love camping and backpacking, and don't mind getting dirty and uncomfortable (literally and metaphorically - really digging and dealing with the tough stuff in life is kind of fun!). It would be wonderful to have someone to experience the world with, to really dig in and experience life. Hmm, a first date could be a walk in a park, or a cup of coffee, someplace relaxing and not too noisy so we can talk and learn more about each other. Since I'm interested in a long-term relationship, I'm not in a hurry, I really do want to learn about each other first. Isn't that one of the benefits of having a little more experience? If that first date is fun, then a second date could be a hike or a day skiing, something that's a mix of activity and fun. I might save a movie or dinner for a 3rd date, but I do love good food and an interesting, compelling movie.
