Hello there! I'm mainly looking for a friend or friends to hang out with locally that are positive to be around. If it turns out to be something more, that is great! If not, I've made a new friend. I like to be outdoors except for when it's very cold. Brrr! If there is a huge bonfire I definitely would be a happy camper! Tried skiing a few times but didn't really enjoy it. Maybe it's because everyone else already knew how to ski and said "have fun learning" and took off. lol Looking to join a gym but haven't decided which one yet. When the weather is nice I like to go for walks, yard sales, walking, horseback riding, camping, boating, fishing & possibly hunting (need more training on the hunting :-) Enjoy mushrooming, picking huckleberries, gardening, basically anything that gets me outdoors, into the mountains and/or around water. Like being around people that are fun, motivational & easy to talk to. Goal is to get back in shape & eat healthier. Not that I don't like going out dancing and tossing back a few beers or a glass of wine on occassion. ha ha Prefer drama free people even though that can be alot to ask. All I know is drama wears me out! Rather be by myself than around it. Oh ya, I do like to go 4wheeling and attending concerts. I like both Country and Rock. When the weather is not so nice I love to watch movies at home or at a theatre. Also enjoy doing home improvements. Would like to start biking and hiking different places. Like hiking in places where there is scenery and not all rocks. So beautiful there. Have been with the same job for over 10 years, have weekends off most of the time and started working from home a few years ago. Just because I marked that I don't want children doesn't mean that I don't like them. It's great if you have children and/or grandchildren. Also, when I marked dating but nothing serious, there is always that possibility but it would take someone pretty special that has good intentions to consider a long term relationship. I'm just keeping an open mind is all I'm trying to convey here. Update ~ have lost 8 lbs so far. Proud owner of a tent-trailer. Serious camping fun next year for sure! A little hint, what I mean by wanting to meet someone "who gets me" is this, Once my barriers are down with my heart, I want to be able to share & express my feelings and have those feelings returned. Why should a couple be afraid to express how they feel? Does pride get in the way? I would like to know what it's really like to be loved. I have been "In Love" but never truly "Loved". It would be nice to have those feelings in return. I just totally admire those couples that still are in love after being married for years. Communication is the key, and not being afraid to tell me how you feel. Karen Not sure I would call it a date when you are meeting a new friend or not. Just going for a walk in a public area and maybe going to have a coffee. I'm not shutting the door to meeting someone just being cautious and not in a hurry to rush things. Fragile, "Handle with Care". Please be patient with me until we both know how we feel without pushing it. Takes time to get to know someone and it also is important to let things happen naturally.
