I love discussing politics, a good chewy intellectual conversation about the state of being in the universe, whether you prefer milk or dark chocolate, what you like to cook, what section of the Sunday NY Times you start with......I'm very loving and affectionate, like to do yoga and give/receive massage.....I believe that touching makes us happier. What really impresses me is someone who is thoughtful and interesting enough to plan something, pick me up, and show me who he is in a natural way. It almost doesn't matter what we do, whether it is a daytime exploration, dinner, sitting by the water having a mojito and making up stories about all the other people, or walking on the beach and talking.I want to feel that when I see you and we begin to get to know each other, that excitement starts and you know you are already looking forward to the next date. I want to laugh together at the absurdness of the world, to share family stories, to feel like we can be the true selves we are and better because of knowing each other.

Every aspect of my life is dedicated to the search for balance. I am an explorer but revel in my home time. I am somewhat of an introvert but love to dance. I can happily spend a day with my camera absorbing the essence of the sea then just want to bask in the company of true like-minded friends. I love both the country road and the city art gallery. I feel there is not much that a trip to the ocean, a gathering around a fire (maybe with a guitar thrown in for good measure - no not into the fire :-), or a great story can't cure. I sing in the car...Badly...Scarey but true!!!I believe in the power of words, belly-I don't do TV much except when it comes to the Ducks! But I love a great movie, game of Scrabble or rummy, creative meal cooked together, or a silly joke. I believe that honor, magic and beauty are still very much alive in our world. I trust that you do too.OK the rest will wait in balance for another day and per chance a shared cup of great coffee or some caramels...as they are better than the average jelly bean... My first date would be ideal somewhere where we could meet over coffee or a margarita and then if we are brew/lime compatible go for a walk to tell each other our best stories. If not then hey no harm no foul. We still had a great drink with a Brave fellow seeker...

~ Its crazy that cyber~dating is just like going for a job interview; Such a sales pitch. After my first attempt to swim around in this pond, I took a break from the "catch and release" that was happening. So Im back to the watering hole to see what might come of it .....Alright , I'll give a few adjectives to describe myself ~. Im intuitive, a good communicator (I've learned the art of listening), Im relational, social, affectionate, sensative, hardworking, opinionated, silly/playful, intentional, adventurous, generous, creative productive, tranparent, forgiving, nurturing. I love the laid back livestyle where i live here on Whidbey Island ~ I enjoy what island living has to offer, kayaking out to the mussel beds to see the resident seals, beautiful hikes along the cliffs at Ebeys Landing, beachcombing and rock picking on our shores. My exercise of choice is hiking, walking, & swimming. Health and nutrition are important to me. Cooking is a pleasure. Its an art form, since I rarely follow a recipe. I have a small garden. Eventhough Im not an "over the top" greenie, i get into recycling, composting and generally attempting to minimize and simplify. its turned into a kind of purposeful hobby. Im also an aspiring writer. Im working on a book and a memoir for my kids. I studied interior design *** My home is a reflection of my creativity.My 2 youngest are still in my nest and my 3 goregous, accomplished older daughters are young adults, living their lives. All of my kids amaze me. wherever we are or whoever we are with, people constantly tell me the impression they've made, and how interesting and enjoyable they are. I could never accomplish a greater goal than to produce and raise such wonderful human beings. I love being a mom ~ I love being their mom!Well guys, thats me in a nutshell ~Please do me the courtesy to 1st be fiscally and relationally responsible ( by that I mean, that past loves and family relationships are reconciled and cleaned up) and please be employed ~ I have that in place and would appreciate the sameNot that I have a criteria that is set on stone. I've never had a "Type" when it comes to men, but there are some qualities in a man that really "get me". ~ a masculine, strong, sexy voice~ the rugged, casual type , but underneath the sweat of his brow, you can see that he cleans up nicely~ the comfortable, cuddly type ~ i feel easy in his presence , & everybody else doesa hint ~ real ladies are responders not initiators. Be the man, take the lead. Let us real women be the woman we want to be ~ if we are interested, we will always respond to every and all of your advances, but we wait for you to make the moves. Its not a feminine qualitiy in my book to pursue, but its to be pursued in the courting stages. More times than not, you guys end up with some trouble from women who take the mans role, but I realize with "womens lib" , its now the norm, and men expect women to be a part of the pursuing process So if you are waiting for the a lady to get a hold of you, make the first move, or keep the ball rolling, you may be missing an opportunity to be with the right kind of feminine women. ~For what its worth~ A cafe or restaurant with a cozy corner where we can visit and get to know each other. if we still would like to let the time linger because things are going well, it would be nice if we were located near an area where we could take a walk around. This is conventional enough so that one of us could leave if its not working out, but if it is, there are other options
