I'm more NPR than Rush; I enjoy thought-provoking documentaries as well as independent music and movies over mainstream. Anything off the beaten path actually...I'm grateful that I notice the little things like a butterfly flittering by. Thanks for stopping by...I am 48 years old and looking for a best friend and a lover; these 2 things seem to me to make up a successful relationship. I am the youngest of 7 in a large Italian family. We are a big crew when we all get together. We don't see each other as often as we'd like, but I consider us to all be close. I am an honest, loyal and supportive person. I am very compassionate and very passionate as well. So, lets get the body stuff on the table because it seems to be a large concern and if I'm not for you, you haven't wasted any time reading this! I fall into what this site refers to as "big and beautiful". I'm not a bone rack, but I'm not an amazon or a blob either. "A few extra pounds" to me means less than 10 lbs and that certainly doesn't describe me (or most women) at all. I'm proportional and curvy yet very active, but not an athlete. But I'm a crapload of fun, so what I lack in body perfection I make up for in charm! I enjoy being active (canoing, golf, surfung, boogie boarding, skiing, hiking). But I also enjoy staying home with good company. I love to talk about the silly and the important. I'm a glass half full kinda girl and am generally upbeat and positive. But not someone who's annoyingly upbeat ('cept in the morning, I'm told). I love a good baseball game, hot dogs and beer, but I clean up well and can rock the little black dress for the right occasion too. Someone open-minded and non judgmental who can at least try to see all sides of things even if it stretches beyond his belief system. Someone who can be self-depreciating and who doesn't take himself too seriously but who is mature enough to know when being serious is appropriate. Someone affectionate but not clingy, loving but not possessive, loyal but not jealous. A great sense of humor is a huge plus! I will always be honest with you and you will never wonder how I feel.I'm sorry this part needs to be said, but in my experience it does! Please save the sex/body talk until we've gotten to know each other a little better! If you wouldn't say it to me the moment you met me in a bar (or in front of your mother), then it's not appropriate here. We are strangers right now. I'm looking for a relationship and ALL its benefits including sex. But there's a time and place. If we click, then this will fall into place. To be clear, this includes asking my bra size, requesting pictures of my feet, hands, etc, telling me how much sexual pleasure I will get from your massages. A) its not very creative (prove you have more to offer) B) its a bit shallow C) it sets a bad tone (with me). Be better than that. Please. Anything that allows us to talk....without screaming!
