I am a hopeless romantic looking for sparks, chemistry, etc. Having that magnetic connection is my only criteria…it’s either present when two people meet or it’s not. I am not looking to rush in to anything more than establishing a friendship to get to know one another. For me, half the fun is the anticipation of what could be once that spark is *** about me and what I am hoping to find in a man…So me, this is hard. I do not like to shine the light on myself and avoid being in the public spotlight whenever possible. That said, I can adapt to almost any situation…from public speaking to welcoming compliments when required. People that are close to me would say I am loyal and committed to those I love. Honesty, trust, and generosity are values I live by and seek in others.I consider myself a handful…hence the “brave man” caveat. I have high expectations…I’m ambitious, independent, active, and make the most out of every day, situation, opportunity, etc. I’ve been known to get too absorbed (okay, self-absorbed) with work or doing menial tasks. I benefit from being around someone who is able to distract me with humor and spontaneity. I have a strong personality…I can hold my own when needed. I do best with men who are easygoing, but who can also put me in my place. Though I don’t necessarily like to be told what to do or hear the word no, it’s kind of a turn-on in a twisted sort of way. I’ll stop there. At this point in my life, I am ready to throw caution to the wind. I have ditched my checklist of what to look for in a man and *** opted to follow my heart (and yes I feel stupid saying that as I’ve always made decisions with my head…over thinking things and being way too cautious).…did I mention I’ Qualities I admire in a man include a sense of humor, good taste without being pompous, someone who values a dollar but doesn’t lose sleep over money spent…I don’t do cheap, but respect a man who is practical and who lives within his means. I appreciate someone who enjoys the finer things in life though comes across as low-key and casual…a man who’ Ideally, a person that has the tendency to be calm and collective in tense situations, treats people kindly (never rude), avoids taking life or self too seriously, and has the ability to laugh in uncomfortable/tough situations. I know that’s a tall order…I did mention high expectations somewhere in this write-up. So the other half of the equation is the ability to be flexible, open-minded and forgiving……being able to make amends and overall keeping ones ego and heart in check.Yup, there’s more…a guy who is independent. Someone who enjoys alone time just as much as being together. And when together, doesn’t mind being spoiled just a bit. I am not one to talk on the phone at great lengths but appreciate a man who can communicate. Oh and someone who is liberal enough to allow me to pick up a tab or take charge from time to time…you fill in the dots. Though I consider myself tolerant and open-minded, there are a few traits that I wouldn’t be able to overlook…racism/prejudice, superiority complex, over inflated egos, substance abuse, cruelty, dishonesty, and promiscuity. I feel I should provide some sort of disclaimer so here it goes…I am not looking for financial security (nor to support someone), a husband (though not opposed), or a father for my son (he’s got one)…Just sparks. I like to keep it simple…enjoying a meal and good conversation together while drinking a bit more wine than either of us should.

Woman. 50 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.
Looking for: man. In age: 47-57
I'm just a small town girl who likes the simple things in life. The best night out for me would include going to a high school football or basketball game, followed by hanging out with friends a bit at the local bar. I've been a single mother for a long time now, my kids are close to grown and it's time for momma to have some fun, but my kids always have and always will come before anything else in my life. I have two jobs, so that combined with being a single mother doesn't give me a lot of free time, but I would like to make the most of the time that I do get to myself. A sense of humor is the most important thing to me, I love-love-love to laugh and do it often and would love to find someone who can laugh with me.
