About Me

I'm not a typical 40 year old. I am a widowed mother of two young children. I chose to have children later in life. I have a 6 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. I'm looking for someone who has children or is completely comfortable dating someone with children.I have a passion for singing and listening to music.I was raised in a small farming community so at heart I'm a country girl. I like stock car races, tractor pulls, carnivals, muddin', camping, monster trucks and rodeos. Yet, I like to dress up and go out on the town too.One of my favorite past times is to hang out with my friends and neighbors on the patio. Adding a fire to it would make it even better.My favorite sounds include my children laughing, waves crashing against the shore, wind whistling through the trees, birds chirping, a crackling fire and anything nature.There is no greater feeling than laughing so hard you have tears rolling down your cheeks.Compassion ministry is my main focus. I live my life now based on cliches. They've been created because they've been lived. Don't wait til tomorrow, what you can do today...simply because we don't know if we have tomorrow. I ask myself every morning, "How can I be a blessing to someone else today?"Dating is a new world for me. It seems there is a lot of unnecessary pressure to put on a front or pretend to be someone your not. I have been stored away for the last several years and almost forgot who I was. I want to be me (God fearing, fun loving, romantic, nurturing, compassionate, happy) and I want to meet someone who will let me be me while enjoying who I am. With all the hype of pretending to be someone we're not, I would prefer to go some place where we are both very comfortable. Even if it requires bringing reinforcements. :) I want to get to know the real you, not the "first date" you. I am pretty much open to anything, but with summer upon us, a walk along the water or just hanging out would be just fine. However, if you prefer to meet for coffee, ice cream or even some bowling, I'd be up for that.
