Looking for: man. In age: 39-49
If you are looking for intelligent life and just a basic, nice person, welcome.I would love to meet you if you are intelligent in a literary way but also a common sense kinda' way; responsible, warm, happy and calm.Integrity and self-awareness are important to me. I enjoy people who are on a conscious road of personal growth and development. I feel like if you stop learning, you might as well be dead!I am so NOT looking for perfect.Just comfortable, happy, normal, and NICE. Someone who loves me exactly as I am, and wants to treat me well, and vice versa. Sounds so easy, doesn't it? It should be easy. The whole chase thing is not comfortable. We will come together easily. We will love being around each other. Plain and simple. At this age I am not looking to be someone's long-term girlfriend, I am more interested in being a wife. I am young at heart, and probably always will be.I feel blessed and enjoy life. For some reason I feel like a relationship is one of life's greatest adventures. :) I want to be able to talk to each other about anything in an honest, respectful way; we can always talk to each other and work things out. In fact, are you looking for a person you can't wait to talk to and laugh with at the end of the day? Me Too!It is very important to me that we as partners feel on the same team; and that we help each other, are proud of one another, and go out of the way to let each other know how great we are( LOL). Respect and adoration are such great feelings to have for someone. I believe if you love someone, show it. I do. It feels good and natural, and...you may one day regret you didn't. If it isn't reciprocated, I eventually stop :(I like adventures and trying new things. But I am also content to spend a day in bed relaxing. Especially together. Down time is important, and I don't mind admitting I need it.Things I definitely DON'T like:Large, drooling, wet, smelly Dogs, especially ones that jump up on youCountry Music- feels too melancholyWatching too many sports on tv when you could be out doing fun stuff!!!!!Crudeness/Lewdness repulse me (except I can curse like a sailor. go figure?!)Ignorance, small-mindedness, lack of insightWhen people don't do what they say. (Lack of integrity) or when complaining is their favorite way of communicating. Yuk!Boxing, Wrestling, Ultimate Cage Fighting, Nascar, Opera, Ballet. (Musicals are great).People who get really worked up, fanatical, and rigid about politicsReally Picky eaters -too limiting!Credit Card Debt- I think living above your means is unnecessary & stupid. I hate the feeling of having debt. And so many of the best things in life are free.Horror movies. I won't watch them. (and yet I love fictitious crime shows, and some haunting shows...go figure?!)Things That Make Me Feel Great:The warm grittiness of sand between my toes while I sit under an umbrella with a friend, hypnotized by the sound of crashing waves and sea gulls screaming their defiant, raucous call; as we comfortably shoot the breeze about anything and everything, or sit in silence. Taking an outside shower at a beach house: hot water falling on concrete, the smell of soap and salty air, and cool breezes intermingling with blue skies and the sound of seagulls; The feel of walking on a crisp autumn day with the trees changing their brilliant colors, the tan grasses and blue skies, the geese calling and flying above.; of making apple pie. The feeling of coming inside from the chill to a warm home cooked meal; the coziness of people drawing back inward to the home. The lazy fun of a hayride under the stars and the primal comradery of a bonfire with smells of wood burning, roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, and people telling funny or scary stories over cups of cider (or something else), bundled in plaid shirts and big knit sweaters and cuddled together, staring entranced into the flames. Reading in front of my warm, crackling wood stove with my feet up after a long day at work;Sitting in a frothing hot tub with good friends after work, sipping drinks and swapping stories. The feeling of FREEDOM! and a little ADVENTURE! Going on day trips with no map, and the excitement of seeing what cool things we stumble upon. The fresh, renewing feeling of trying things. I have been to plenty of other states and a few other countries, and want to see more...The luxurious taste of any kind of chocolate in my mouth, especially around ***pm when I need a second wind. The smell and feel of the earth in my hands when I garden. The thrill of enabling life. The expectation of beauty or yummy tastes to come...Listening to a good piece of music and being transported to a different emotional place.Quality time together, listening, cuddling, playing, cleaning, reading, working, sleeping...its all good. Quality time by myself. Peace and quiet. The warmth, security and fun of family and friends. The heartwarming feeling of good conversation. When someone really, truly makes me laugh. it always takes me by surprise. I love it.The satisfaction and cooperation of doing home improvement projects together. The feel of creating with my hands. I love working with my hands. I am lucky I do it for a living.Dancing. It always puts a smile on my face. It makes me high to be led by a good swing partner.Public affection :) I don't care what other people think. I care how I feel about you, and if I feel like kissing you in the grocery line, man up and take it lol. Good luck to you!PS: I am unfortunately not interested in a long-distance relationship (outside a half hour away); it is simply too limiting. The closer the better, for our own sakes in the long run. Laid back, no stress. I feel comfortable meeting at a cafe or ice cream place, or somewhere quiet for brunch. Taking a walk also feels like a good way to interact on a first date. Something laid back and fun, where we can hear each other talk.
