About Me

I suppose like just about everyone else who tries this online dating thing, I never quite know what to say about myself without sounding cliche. So I'll try to be original and clever without sounding too lame or boastful... I grew up in a family with a great sense of humor, so I can take a joke at my expense...but I have to warn that I deliver a lot of them too. I'm the middle child, which I think has shaped me into someone who's easy to get along with (often having assumed the role of "peacemaker"), and am a firm believer in not sweating the small stuff. I changed careers several years ago from that of an accountant to pharmacist, and love my [relatively] new career. That said, I value my personal relationships (e.g., family/friends) far more than my work. I consider myself fairly new to the area, but since it's now been over 6 years I suppose I'm close to earning veteran status in this transient town. I still enjoy doing a lot of the touristy activities around DC, like the museums and especially checking out the monuments at night. I'm a music lover, (but sadly have no talent for it myself) and love going to concerts of just about any kind. I enjoy cooking and baking, but true to my Italian heritage I seem to always make enough to feed an army...and cooking for myself is just not that fun...I am not looking for anyone of a specific educational background or someone who makes a certain salary. . I am looking for someone who is interesting (and I think lots of different things make people interesting...yes, things like education and travel are a couple of them, but they are certainly not the ONLY things), has a good heart, and can make me laugh.

    What matters most to me is a positive attitude and that your young at heart. Its all over the place. I mention this because I think that someones musical taste tells a lot about that person. I love live music ect... But I also like to stay in, hang out, watch a movie. Affection is ALSO important to me.     I am not an idle person and there is not much that I do not know how to do or not willing to attempt. I will tell you now you cannot bullsh*t me and there are not many people that I cannot get along with. I can work on a car and get absolutely greasy as hell and not be bothered by it and I can also dress up and be as pretty a girl as you can imagine. I am attracted by intelligence and someone that knows how to be a "MAN" when things need to be done. Sense of humor is essential as I am quite spunky with a twisted outlook on things. If the only pictures you have of yourself are with dark glasses on....well I tend to be more interested if I can at least see your eyes (windows to the soul)2. If you dont at least have one picture of yourself actually smiling...well that kind of tells me you are a stuck in the mud and take life too darn seriously. I dont want to date someone that looks and acts like they have a potato chip up their butt and cant get it out.3. Yes, this also means you have to have an actual "recent" picture of yourself on here. What you may have looked like 5, 10, or 20 years ago doesnt mean a thing. This is about here and now darlin.4. I am not here to date your dog or horse. I understand you may love them but I am sure there is a doggy dating website somewhere if you are trying to set them up and not yourself. I have 2 dogs myself. But this is about me not them ;)5. I do not date outside my race.6. OH..... There is a thing called a dictionary and can also google any words that you may not understand.That is just a heads up. Dont want to burst anyones bubble.
