I am back after apparently being deleted for some unknown reason..I am gonna give this another shot but recently this site has gotten really shady, with fake people and profiles..I am a single mother of 3 kids and I have a grandson. I have a 20 year old son who has a son who will be 2 years old in November ***. I have a 16 year old daughter and a 14 year old son. My kids are my world and come first before myself or anything else so let's get that out there up front. With that being said they are not babies so I can usually go out with little to no difficulty. I just will not blow them off if they need me or are involved with something that I need to attend. I love spending time with my family and friends. One now lives in Germany and the other I see almost every day.I listen to all kinds of music. I love to dance, write poetry (I have actually had 2 poems published), scrapbook, read, travel, hang out with friends, go to wine tasting and visit wineries, love movies both going and just curl up and watch them at home. I love going to the beach it is my peaceful place. Sitting on the beach at sunset with a drink, my toes in the cool sand and smelling the ocean air and listening to the waves....Don't be a player cause I'llshut you down with a quickness. I don't play games. surprise me

Online dating...It feels kind of like shopping for people, which seems unnatural to me, but my friends tell me this is the way it's done these days, so here we are. I'm not great at describing myself, but here goes.I'm a bay area native, even went to college here, but I have been able to travel a bit. I can find humor in just about anything, and I do mean anything, I have even been known to laugh at funeral homes. I love to people watch, so dive bars are a ton of fun for me, with the added bonus of getting to see the local bands, which I also love. Music wise, I like just about anything, but I'm not really into rap- too much violence in it. Street fairs are great, love to watch NASCAR with my dad, also love classic cars, and usually hit the local cars shows.I like baseball and I love to go to games, but not the Giants- it feels more like a society event than a baseball game, which leaves me unsure of how behave. I'm a die-hard A's fan, and while I can tolerate a Giants fan, if you're a Yankees fan, I'm probably just going to offend you, that would make us both feel awful, and I'd really rather avoid that. I have some pretty strong feelings about Steinbrenner's whorehouse, and his death hasn't cooled my ire :-)I have an extremely close knit group of long term friends who are like family to me and I spend a lot of time with them, BBQing during the summer, movie nights ( we usually pick a theme- worst acting, highest gross out factor, most ridiculous premise, etc.- and watch 3 or ***I like camping, preferably somewhere remote, with no cell phone reception, where I won't be bothered, but the expresso machine has to come with me, because I'm not going to go without it in the morning, I don't care where I am. I read constantly ( my best friend says I would read the phone book, but I really do need something with a plot ). I also spend so much time in meetings and going over budgets, that if my 21 year-old self could see me now, she would throw her beer in my face and tell me to lighten up.As far as the type of guy I like, he has to be happy already, since I'm not good with fixer-uppers, and I really prefer a guy's guy, so if you wax anything regularly, or are intimately aquainted with 'Project Runway', we can be great friends, but we can't date. Also, if we're alone in a room together, I can't be the only one who can identify an intake manifold. I would love to find someone to have fun with, if it turns into something more, great! Another single parent would be ideal, since I've found that people who don't have children get a little testy about the challenges that come along with single parent dating :-) Not a requirement, but dating a single parent isn't easy, so know that going in.I have a terribly caustic wit- so I'm definitely not for the faint of heart. I'm also not looking to get married just yet, so if you're looking for the mother of your future children that absolutely must be born soon, I'm probably not the girl for you, but I'd be happy to help you find her, I've been told I'm an excellent wingman :-). I'm not really into the casual dating thing, so if you're looking for a friends with benefits situation, I'm absolutely not the girl for you. I love bowling, I think it's the greatest white trash sport ever invented, shooting pool being a close second. I'm terrible at both, but it's still a lot of fun.I'm always listening to music, and since I came of age in the 80's, some of it is really bad (think 'Asia' or anything that could be described as a 'Hair Band'), but I'll listen to just about anything, and I love listening to live music. If there's a band playing somewhere, I'll probably try to make time too see them

I'm making the most of my summer and am seeking someone with similar interests to enjoy the fun with me! I have the fortune of working minimal hours during the summer months, leaving lots of time to enjoy my favorite activities. This has included swimming, biking, running (I have a love/hate relationship with running), paddling, walking, hiking, camping and floating on the lake. I'm open to attempt almost anything at least once! As a mom of ***teen and one pre-teen) I am independent in all ways. Being the ages they are, my children are at or getting to the point where I'm not needed quite so much as when they were younger, but they are still my priority. I feel very fortunate that I'm able to seek friendship based on similarities and interests as opposed to the need to find someone to take care of me financially or otherwise. Ideally, I'd like to find someone who is in the same position. I don't want to find a caretaker, nor do I want to be one.I don't need to be taken care of, but in the same breath, I'm looking for someone who is polite and a gentleman. Chivalry is not lost on me. I'm seeking a man of integrity that I can admire and appreciate. I'm bored with anything revolving around food and a restaurant. Food is necessary, but let's liven it up a bit? I'd much rather plan some sort of outdoor activity that might end with food, necessary because we're both exhausted by the fun and effort we've expended!
