First dates are always nerve wracking, because you never know what to say to one another and how to start up a conversation. I would prefer a more casual first date I think. An evening having dinner together seems fitting for a first dates. You spend just the right amount a time with one another, and should be able to tell if we are both interested in one another and if we would like to meet for date number two.
