I consider myself to be an independent woman with somewhat old-fashioned values when it comes to dating. I haven't always been this way but after some dating experiences I have decided that some of the values our parents followed probably were successful for a reason. I am usually considered to be the "funny" one in the group and finding someone with a sense of humor is at the top of my list. I think the world today is superficial and although being healthy is important, when we are all 80 years old having someone who can hold up their end of a conversation will be more important than having someone that looks good naked. I like all types of music but hip hop and r&b is probably what I listen to most. My favorite artist is Beyonce but I also like Aerosmith and artists like Pink. Sometimes I find myself getting very interested in a certain subject or topic and I will watch documentaries and try to learn everything about it I can. I enjoy watching movies and a lot of shows on HBO. I can't really stand a lot of reality TV but I do like American Idol (don't judge me lol). I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. My work is very important to me and I take pride in being a hard worker. I think one of the most important things to know about me is that I kind of tell it how it is and don't have time to play games. I just want to meet someone who is looking for a companion in life and someone to share and make new experiences with. I don't need a man, I just want one and I think that may be what sets me apart from some other women in the dating scene. I will not be "hanging out" or "chillin at your house" for a first date. We will be meeting in a public place maybe over a drink or dinner. And if you want to start a debate about how women should be paying for the first date in ***then do not message me. It's not about the $ - have some class. Lol.

    I think as a person, I am confident for the most part, I have been told that I am pretty hilarious, I have tough skin but I do usually wear my heart on my sleeve. I like someone taller than me (which isn't hard to find, since I’m only 5’4), someone who can make me laugh that of course can be serious when the time is right, blue collar/white collar, not important as long as I don’t have to support you financially. Communication is very important to me and I’m a talker so texting, talking on the phone, being able to communicate is a necessity. I don’t play the silent treatment game, it is childish and makes it very easy for me to walk away from someone. I know people argue, it’s life, however, I like to talk things out, I do not like to pretend things didn't happen and move on, doing that creates trouble and resentment.     So I figured Id update my profile on here a little bit.. since its pretty old lol. i never thought id bring myself back on this site due to my experiences from it but I figured what the hell.. nothing to lose only something to gain. im a pretty simple girl.. a homebody some might say.. not into the partying.. drinking etc. I am a registered foster mom and have been since i was 21.. if it bothers some.. then id reckon im not the girl u should message.
