About Me

I was raised here and love living here. It is not often you can find a city that lives on coffee and music. I pride myself on knowing the area well and staying up to date on new things to do and places to visit. What I would like to find in a relationship is someone who wants to explore the city as much as I do.You can't be scared of water because my life is centralized around water. I like boats, being on boats, living on boats, working on boats, lounging on boats and just about anything else on a boat.I have been known to sing loudly and very off key in the car. My dancing skills are quite laughable. I prefer small, oddly decorated bars to stream-lined chain restaurants. Typically I pick city hiking over backpacking, and I have always been more into beer than wine. Hopefully there is an equally quirky guy out there looking for a partner in crime.Beyond that, I want an unpretentious relationship. Someone down to earth and close to their family is preferable. My family is big, loud, and fun. If you can't have fun with us then you must not be fun. We love to have BBQ's and tell endless stories of adventures both new and old.

Things that excite me in the short to medium term include starting up a small organic farm of my own (I am currently apprenticing), learning construction (and various other useful/interesting skills), building a tiny house on wheels, doing road trips and bike tours and backpacking trips, learning to rock climb, ETC. I have a real zest for life and hope you do too.All that said, I should mention that I am super shy in groups of people, and will probably not be joining you at parties or hanging out with big groups of friends, although I'm continually working on being more comfortable in those situations. I love getting to know people, but I'm an introvert so I prefer one-on-one or smaller groups. Something simple and low-key for a first date (but seriously, let's not call it a date until it is ok?***maybe grabbing a bite to eat and going for a walk, getting to know each other a little. Beyond that, if you're into doing something that involves any of the 'interests' I listed above, that sounds like a great way to get to know each other. I also love trying new things, especially outdoors.
