Guess you could say I'm just another hip young professional living in a rural Minnesotan town, deeply devoted to her family but a city girl at heart. A hopeless romantic with an irrational fear of butter. Fun fact : I've only been on the victorious end of a broken wishbone three times, and I often lay awake at 3am wondering what that signifies for my future. Career and happenstance have kept me here. Occasionally, people mistake my saucy self- I suspect it's my theatrical background that throws people off kilter. That, and the fact that approximately 95% of the things that come out of my mouth are tongue-in-cheek.In general, I do my best to spread kindness on a daily basis -- both globally and locally.Appreciative for the little things. I love coffee but I'm a not coffee snob. I enjoy fine wine but I'm not a wine snob.On the clock, I tend to keep fairly busy. I'm currently knee deep in social services, directing adult foster homes (6 of them!) with a company I love. But I'm basically a "Jen of All Trades." For ***, before this gig, I spent the last three years working as a counselor at a therapeutic shelter for at-risk youth. Before all that, I rocked out the following random jobs ...com, schlepped insurance, and survived an ironic summer youth ministry internship.I recently finished performing in "Bus Stop" at the Barn Theatre, which was an incredible experience. I'm averaging about one show per year these days. Wish I had time to do more, but my boss prefers it when I actually focus on my career most of the time ;) go figure!Also, hot off the presses ~ I've been asked to join forces with a local band called Gravel Road as their new lead female vocalist. So that's pretty darn exciting. One more thing to cross off the bucket list. And the answer is yes, you can have my autograph.If you think we might hit off, let's grab a coffee and go with the flow!     Life is an adventure, and mine has certainly been one. I try to live each day to it's fullest and be thankful for everything that I have. I'm always up for exploring and trying new places. I love places that only the locals know. I'd also be up for any baseball or hockey game.
