I am always looking to explore new places and to seek out adventure, while appreciating the simplicities of life. I'm a very positive person who loves to laugh. I'll laugh at the corniest pun, but most especially at myself when I get into a silly situation. Not to say that I don't have a serious side, I'm looking forward to some great debates with you over dinner. Music is my go to in all situations, I frequently break out random lyrics. I love pretty much all genres of music, but the old traditional soul in me comes out in my love of classic rock and blues/jazz. I'll let you in on a little secret... I'm starting to learn how to play the ukelele. I'm a big traveler, taking a big trip at least once a year. It was amazing, I'd go back in an *** to say I'm hoping you are up for checking out new lands, foods and meeting new people along with me.I like to keep active, but rather than go to the gym I'm a fan of playing group sports, hiking in Gatineau park or going for a bike ride. I recently discovered a love of floor hockey, I don't know how I missed the fun of it for so long. Overall, I'm a fun-loving, sweet gal who likes to be social, but who is still up for quiet evenings in front of the TV, cooking or attending a cultural event (art show, concert, play, comic con, anything under the sun).     What can I say? I am not a natural born southerner, but I could definitely get used to it! I moved here for my career; I teach 5th grade Math, and wouldn't trade my students for anything (even though I want to pull my hair out some days). The only down side of moving here is the distance I have put between great friends and great family. I am very close to them, and sometimes it is rough being so far away, but I talk to them on the phone all the time! Right now i am working on a masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. One day I would really like to be the principal of an elementary school, but I am good being in the classroom right now! At first glance I can appear to be very shy, but I open up pretty quickly. I am loud, my voice just seems to carry, but I come by it honest! It comes in handy in my line of work though! I can be very opnionated, but I can also admit when I am wrong (it just so happens that that doesn't happen very often!) I am also a very trusting person, at least until that trust is broken. I am looking for a friend first and foremost. I am waiting for the stage in my life to start!
