Being self-employed has allowed me to work on my self-discipline as well as allowed me to teach myself new aspects of my business I wouldn't have learned as an employee elsewhere. The one part of sole-proprietorship I will never like and never get used to is collections. I hate making collection calls; I wish everyone would just pay for the work they commissioned :(Anyway! Enough about my work! I like what I do, but this is not something that I focus on all the time. Also, I don't think that getting coffee is a good first date, either. I've been on a few of those and walked away feeling like I had been on an interview, not on a first date.
