I love spending time with my friends and can have fun pretty much anywhere with the right people. I would pick a comedy over a movie that makes me cry anyday! I'm a firm believer in treating others the way you want to be treated... I figure u can't go wrong with that. I'm looking for my teammate...my best friend. Someone to enjoy new experiences with, to learn from each other and to make me laugh. If u feel like learning more, send me an ***! first date***meet for drinks or coffee. If we get past that point, anything fun. I definitely like day activities that keep me moving, and at night nothing beats a nice dinner/drink combo.

A little about myself...I am a sweet and funny person who enjoys the simple things life has to offer. I recently finished my masters in special education. I am a special education teacher and I love what I do.I have a lot of different hobbies.I am an honest and a kind-hearted person that can be a bit shy at first. I have a great sense of humor that is often sarcastic and goofy at times.I am looking to make new friends and possibly more... My match would be similar to myself in many ways. I usually like first dates to be casual and more importantly fun! Maybe we could grab dinner and see a movie, or meet in the city and go to Dave & Busters. I like to keep it fun and have a lot of laughs!

1. Well, as listed under interests, one of my hobbies is acting. I do several shows a year at a community theater, and it takes up a lot of my time. I also act with a troupe that does a living chessboard at a nearby medieval faire. I work at my church a lot - singing, working with the teens. I don't suppose that's really a hobby, but in my book it is - it certainly takes up enough of my time. I also paint, though I seem to be doing that less and less. I paint sets for almost all of the shows that I work on, and that seems to be the only time I pick up a paintbrush lately. I enjoy doing lots of things, so don't count something out just because I didn't list it here - ask me!2. My ultimate goal is to get paid to travel for a living - preferably doing something like photography. However, if we're being realistic, it's just to keep getting paid for a job I love doing. I do programs for children and teens at a public library. It's a job that lets me perform, have fun, and be creative!3. Talk about myself? Hmmm... Well for one thing, I can't stand stupid people. It sounds harsh, but really I just want to be able to have an intelligent conversation with someone. I love to laugh at the ridiculous - I have a blog I write about all the crazy things that people around me say and do. I am extremely independent - I don't like people to become dependent upon me for happiness, or to become too clingy. I'm on this site as kind of a lark, since right now my schedule is so jam-packed I don't know how I can fit in a relationship. I love to perform and entertain. I'm sarcastic and witty - though more so online than in person, I think. I've been bitten by the travel bug, and have a thirst for learning about different cultures and seeing many different places. I've been to 6 different countries and pretty much want to go to all the rest of them. Major anglophile. I love all things British (esp. TV shows)!4. My taste in music varies somewhat, but it's safe to say I like indie/alternative. I also like classic rock and grew up listening to my parents' albums - Something simple. Lunch date is best, that way you can cut your losses if things don't go as well as planned. Though that's more for a blind date or someone you don't know that well. If it's someone you've talked to awhile, it could be different, but a meal is a great way to talk and get to know someone.
