Most men hang around me cause they find that I’m just so bloody entertaining. Planning to go to Vietnam sometime December ***. I want a partner - someone that I can talk with about work/life/ideas and travel the world with. Communication is very important to me and I want to hear your stories/life experiences. I want a friendship that grows into a mutual support society: we each encourage and bring out the best in each other. I care deeply about the people in my life and I feel it's important to maintain current friendships and interests. That said there has to be time put into becoming a couple - it isn't *** it should be fun getting there.Giggling/laughter along the way is expected. :-)Trust is the most important thing, with truth closely following. I don't get upset about little things, and most things are in the little things category. My faith is an important part of who I am. It is not based upon judging others but *** about acceptance and caring and love. I also believe the life we are given is a gift to be celebrated and reveled in so it is a crime to waste it. :-) I do not have the need to rush into a relationship. It should build over time so that it has the potential to last. I'm looking for the long haul and not the temporary. :-)I love animals and kids. My dog, Frisky the Wonder Mutt, came to live with me in Nov ***. He is a rescue but is doing rather well at this point. My previous dog Lady (another rescue) died in Jan ***after living with me 13 yrs. One of my friends recently suggested I state what I am looking for. Here it is:- A good heart and a kind soul- Must have empathy towards others- A gentle to wicked sense of humor- A foodie who enjoys new food and considers sushi to be divine *** just bait- Believes it is good to be a carnivore and that some of the best food comes from dives and food trailers- Will talk about at least 4 other topics for fun in addition to work, sports, and politics - Believes learning your whole life is the only way to go- Passport should probably be current- Will go off the beaten track to experience or see something cool/weird/wonderful- Must be a good kisser when the time is appropriate - Self supporting and can take care of personal financial obligations- Should know how to do home repairs or call appropriate people - Can handle being around a high energy extravert (that's me) who is liberal politically, moderate fiscally and has never voted republican (but ok with opinions different than my own).So I'm tall, blond, curvy, bright, and logical (that whole engineer thing) woman who wants a strong man I can lean on. And yes I want honest to goodness jump for joy feel to your toes romance. If this sounds interesting then we should talk. Thanks to help from family, I now have a sunroom overlooking the water and a 'woman cave' in the works in the basement. I like baking, sometimes cooking but I'd rather be playing Rock Band and let someone else do the cooking LOL. Ok, I can compromise, so we cook together and then play Rock Band together. This is my new favorite winter hobby ... learning to play an *** vocals. My body can no longer handle the cold weather... brrr. I do like to traveI and would aspire to spend a month or two in a warm climate in the winter. I love exploring.I am happy, intelligent, witty, goofy, playful, caring, responsible and a community volunteer.Good things happen to me because I choose to focus on .... good things! LOL.I am a people person, love meeting new people and hope to travel more in the futureI like playing on the lake all summer - swimming, boating, reading a book, bird watching, watching my brother fish...I love eating vegetables grown in my garden and am building a perennial garden with pathways.I'm a very casual, earthy girl who also loves to get dressed up for an occasional dinner out.I spend a lot of time with family and sometimes travel to see them. I live in a nice house and have nice things but I'm not perfect, I don't expect you to be perfect.I don't care what you drive or what you own. I care about who you are and what you have done with your life and intend to do in the future.I have many interests and I have listed them all before, but I think that just confused people. I have experienced a lot in the 51 years that I have been here. Life is always expanding, growing, learning and I am interested in participating rather than watching. What have you been doing for the past 40, 50, or 60 years?I am retired from the software industry and after a short stint buying and selling antiques, I'm now sticking with buying jewelry wholesale which I sell on eBay and rent space in a local store. This is 'fun' money. I am financially stable and love living a simple lifestyle. I volunteer for 2 non-profits and do whatever I can to help from painting, fiberglassing and sweeping floors to building and updating websites! I am thankful to have the opportunity to meet and talk to new people!I would love to find a man with integrity and intelligence (can't stress that enough - my daughter is a Fulbright Scholar). A man who is positive, loving and wants to have fun, laugh, and finds the silver lining in all situations. Drama and games are not allowed in my life. If we are not a match then we should move on because .... there are plenty of fish ;)I am looking for a longterm, serious relationship but would love to start it out with some casual conversation and get to know each other. No pressure, no expectations. I am always at my best near the ocean, water, outdoors, mountains, etc. Something simple like meet at a pub with an outdoor band... lol. We'll figure it out!
