About Me

I have a great sense of humor, and love to laugh and be playful. I am not boring; I enjoy all kinds of things and like exploring new things. The more I can be outdoors the better. My crazy thrill seeker days are pretty much behind me... I care about my health and well being (and so should you). I am very into nutrition and natural medicine (not a vegetarian, but eat meat very sparingly). I like who I am, and where I am in my life. I have no interest in trying to recapture any younger version of myself…or capturing a boy toy. I am mentally stable, no meds required. I will continue to be a work in progress learning and growing until the day the good lord is ready to take me home. I am very low maintenance to date…I don’t need to be wined and dined (although I do enjoy my wine) or bought flowers, jewelry, candy, and expensive gifts. I am happiest just being in good company enjoying an activity, relaxing, laughing, and having good conversations. I prefer preparing a meal at home, and/or making it to go...but the patio works to :-)I want to find the right person for a lasting relationship, but I believe a healthy relationship with the substance to last takes time and patience, and really getting to know each other. My match will be strong and self-confident enough not to be put off by a woman that doesn't exactly personify damsel in distress. I can take care of myself but would prefer it if we took care of each other. I am a Christian, and my faith is unwavering.     I am in a good spot in my life and happy where I am in it. But to compliment it, it would be great to be in a relationship. My children are out of the nest & making their way through life now, so I seem to have more time to share & enjoy all of the things "being a couple" gives. I would like to enjoy a relationship with a man who knows what he wants in his life. A perfect pairing on paper perhaps isn't always what it seems, if the chemistry in person isn't there. To respond to the above "profession" question, - yup - after over ***years with a company, it downsized and I was caught up in corporate decisions. I am actively job hunting, but can afford to be somewhat choosy. I am thinking I want a fun job - like on a golf course or helping people out, would be a nice switch from a rat race kind of a career. : ) I enjoy activies such as golfing, gardening, cooking, reading (although can't really say that's overly active!) , games night, floor hockey, going to the gym (groan) , exploring small towns, camping, attending concerts,festivals and live sporting events. Movie night is another great option. Smell of popcorn... yum. I've started getting the travel bug, so I am looking forward to doing some more. I can relax with the best of them, however, I prefer to be on the move or have something in the queue so to speak.Music - always have something on...I enjoy a little bit of mostly everything, great ipod selection, but have to say, country music wins out the most. ** I will respond to everyone that sends me an *** it's tough to measure the seriousness or intent behind the "meet me" button, so feel free to drop me a line.
