"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are gonna get."How absolutely true! No matter what we do with our lives, we are still going to have high highs and low lows. With any luck, we ride out the storm and develop into someone our parents would be proud of. I live by the proverb "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I think the world would be a better/more peaceful place if we all subscribed to that way of thinking, don't you?So who am I? I am a passionate, wise, altruistic, athletic, sensible yet spontaneous, self-sufficient and strong (both mentally AND physically!) woman who is just hitting the Prime of her life. I finally know what I want in life. It took me 50 years to discover it, but, while I may be slow, I am finally there. I am a self-made woman. Everything I own, I earned myself through hard work, blood, sweat and tears, and keeping my eyes on the prize. I now know that I WANT a man in my life, but I do not NEED a man. One is healthy and the other is not.Love has been like an elusive butterfly for me that I have been chasing for too long with a net that apparently has a hole in it! While I never thought of myself as a quitter, I must admit that I am getting quite a headache from banging my head against that wall! No more! Girls just wanna have fun, right? Besides, I finally realized that divorced men do not want a committed relationship, having already been down that road. I figure, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!My favorite time of year is summer. You will find me outside most of the time, either working in my yard or checking out festival-goers. I am serious about taking care of myself and staying in shape. I worked damn hard to get this body and am not about to quit working on it now! I like a man who feels the same way and shares my philosophy on healthy living. Oh, don't get me wrong, I like to go out and have a couple drinks, wear a short skirt and heels, and know that I look good in them. Not intimidated yet?     HiThis is probably the hardest part of it all is getting started. OK..I admit talking has never been a challenge for me or so I have been told but this is a little different. I love when the warmer months are here,and it is very tempting to want to go out and spend more time outdoors so why not enjoy it with somebody's company. The warmer weather defniitely my favorite time of year..I enjoy just being outside, whether it be going to the pool, taking a walk, going for an endless drive to nowhere with the destination as a total suprise to us both.....althought being cozy during a snowstorm is nothing to complain about either :-) I am interested in getting to know someone and then seeing AFTERWARDS where it leads even if it is a friendship. I am VERY HONEST and that is the most important quality for me in those I am close to. It is very important for me to be able to be open with those I am close to and for them to be the same and be comfortable with that...after all without honesty and sincerety you are not knowing the "real" person.Please note if you are looking for someone just to have cyber or phone sex or looking for a date to get laid....please move on.....although I may be a kid at heart, I am a grown up and looking for the same...I am no longer in school and do not play or believe in those games. Please know what you want and be honest about it I hard for me to say what I am looking for because I have not met the person. At this time in my life, I am comfortable with who I am and would like to spend time with someone who is the same.
