About Me

When I finished high school, I thought I'd go to college and four years later I'd be done and all set....but, now I'm a ***almost 24! I didn't know I'd be here, but I'm glad I am-- I'm a little over halfway through a program to get my Masters in counseling, and most days I am definitely enjoying it....people tend to ask that) and studied psychology and biology. Now that I've been back in MI for a while, I'm looking to date and meet someone new. I'll be honest, sometimes I'm kind of shy meeting new people... it's just that sometimes smalltalk can be awkward, but usually I can joke it off--I like to think I have a pretty good sense of humor. Generally, though, I'm rather sociable; I like spending time with friends and having a good time.I enjoy doing a variety of things (with friends and/or family) whether it's relaxing for a movie-night with friends, going out to grab coffee, catching a baseball game, or spending time out at the lake. I spent a lot of time camping while I was growing up, so I love fishing/hiking/swimming and think that's all a lot of fun , and I definitely make time for it when I can. I'm pretty laid-back, so I think staying home or heading out to do something can each be equally fun. I'm usually up for trying something new at least once....like learning to drive a stick-shift, which I recently did (twice***it wasn't smooth, but it was fun!I don't know that I have "a type" when it comes to dating...but maybe I do and haven't figured it out yet. I'm pretty openminded, though, so I'm open to a variety of people. I would enjoy someone who doesn't always take life too seriously and likes to relax and have fun. I really want to get to know someone I can just be comfortable with and come to be able to confide in/open up to. I definitely look forward to finding that person. Maybe something other than meeting up for dinner or lunch...only because sitting for an hour (or so) across from one other person you don't know well while you eat can feel kind of forced. Going out for a drink would be more casual, or it would be fun to go on a date that involved doing something while getting to know each other...like grabbing a coffee to-go and going for a walk, or go mini-golfting (or "real" golfing, but I don't have practice at that) or...lots of things.
