Sign of the times that we have this new way of making contact with others who have the same goals. I'm new to it but open and optimistic that it is possible to meet someone??!! I have been on my own for several years now and have made some big changes to embrace my new life. Having always been a "beach girl" at heart, living in Silicon Valley for many years always felt somewhat stifling. Last month I moved to one of the beautiful SoCal beach cities! I am really looking forward to getting settled in and find my way around. I have four beautiful, crazy, funny, unique kids that keep my life from ever being dull and boring. I must warn anyone reading this, only one is out of the nest. Fortunately, I have a great co-parenting situation so I am NOT looking for a father for them and I DO have some free time! Free time, I am creative and love to paint, design, collect things. I am passionate about houses. Specifically old houses and have had the good fortune to renovate multiple old homes. I love the entire process from finding the perfect project through all the stages until a wonderful home is completed. I love being physically active. Run, walk, hike, yoga, dance. I am going to get a pair of rollerblades ASAP for use on the Strand. As for a profession, I was a nurse but it has been many years since I have practiced. I miss it and might think of a way to get back into the field at some point. The adrenaline junkie in me misses the intensity of a busy ICU. what else?! Guess I should mention that I have no sense of humor what so ever. I am never entertained by the absurd and unique oddities of life. I like my men boring as a rock. If you are the type that would make me laugh, like the kind of laughing that would make you snort, forget it. And teasing, kidding and being playful is definitely out. What good is any of that? Intelligence and being very physical, also very low priority on my bucket list. Hmmm Oh my gosh, I am adding this last sentence because someone actually thought I was serious about my previous paragraph and compared me to their ex! Seriously!?

Update: I have been in the DFW area for about a year and a half. I am settling in and looking around for friends and a potential life companion.I would like to find someone who can make me laugh, laugh at themselves, likes to have fun but is also serious and responsible when it counts! I am not looking for a perpetual dater or texter! Another must is they should have their own bike. It IS a passion of mine!I am a non smoker but I don't mind a smoker as long as they are clean about it and don't smell like an ashtray. I mostly listen to country music these days but I like all kinds of music. I like going to the movies, concerts, bike rallies...spur of the moment outings - travel, beaches and water!What are you looking for? I say I prefer to take things slow but if the chemistry is there it will take on a life of its own...be honest, non possessive/jealous know how to act in polite company. Be able to get down and dirty (not talkin sexual here! lol) but also be able to clean up well and put on a coat and tie if necessary. What I am not looking for is a booty call...My job is often unpredictable and requires long hours/weeks at times. Looking for someone to share adventures with and who knows where it'll go from there............. I am outgoing and spontaneous to a certain degree.....enjoy road trips, travelling by different means (cycling, kayaking, walking,scootering)....finally got back to my long lost love of sailing this summer. I love meeting interesting people and experiencing different cultures. Walking across Europe is on my bucket list.....you'll usually find me creating and experimenting with some new project..... painting, photography,filmmaking,gardening.... or all aspects of the performing arts.
