I love to play competitive tennis and watch all sports, esp. college sports. I 'like' to work out at the gym but it's not an obsession. I love to go boating, spend a leisure Sunday afternoon biking, bowling or whatever. I love to travel and explore different sites.I love to tailgate and spend time with friends and family. Family is very important to me: mine, yours... Even though my kids are semi grown and fresh out of college, I still enjoy encouraging them in their endeavors.I enjoy listening to all kinds of music: pop, rock however if country's on the radio, it'll be a quick change. I play the piano but have less and less time to do so lately. I've been divorced for 9 years and now looking for someone to share my life with. I especially enjoy listening to 'others' story.

the world isn’t made of atoms, it’s made of stories.-muriel rukeyseri've been hanging around this place for a little while now, and i've heard quite a few stories. people are so unique...and so alike.i wanted to change my profile today because life being life, and me being human, things have changed. a thought occurred to me, and i decided to google what guys would like to read in an online profile. here's a list of things i found:* you want to know that i wear underthings that are sweet, and not my grannies.* you want to know that i don't nag because i don't sweat the small stuff.* you want to be proud to have me on your arm, in front of your friends.* you never want me to compete with you because you compete with each other, not with a woman that you're interested in.** you'd like to be respected. always.* you'd like to hear that i like what activities you like (bike riding, tennis, cars) but not necessarily participate in them.* you want to see me smile far more often than you see me frown. you don't really "get" negative feelings. it's drama to you.* you want to find yourself wanting my opinion and thoughts about the world.* you don't want to hear i want you to shop with me, and you don't want to hold my purse....ha! i thought that was pretty funny!* you want to hear that i will never, ever, ever say the dreaded "i'm not in the mood".funny, but i don't find any of that offensive or surprising. as a matter of fact, while i don't consider myself to be overly submissive or by any means a doormat, i think that compromise is essential in all of our relationships.i guess what i mean is, if i were willing to understand what someone wants and desires from a relationship, would that person be willing to do the same for me?it occurred to me to google what women like to see in a man's profile. i changed my mind. i know what i like. that's all that's important here.i do wonder if i will find it someday....

Woman. 52 years old. Zodiac sign: Capricorn.
Looking for: man. In age: 49-59
Best ways to describe me: nice, creative, thoughtful, intelligent, helpful, trustworthy, loyal, practical, thrifty, dependable, organized, caring, artistic... My hobbies: bargain shopping, second-hand stores like Goodwill, auctions, festivals, playing cards, bingo, ***, reading, home decorating, traveling, photography, dining out, museums, jigsaw puzzles, soduko puzzles... I enjoy cook-outs, bicycle rides, playing pool, working out (some) at the Y, walking my dog, etc. I am a little independent in that I know how to use a drill, re-wired a few lamps, re-upholstered a recliner and a chair, and have even replaced the flapper on the toilet. I don't NEED a man in my life, but WANT a man in my life. I have learned to do a lot of things on my own since divorcing, however I still haven't mastered the grill or the lawnmower! I still appreciate it when a man opens doors for me, offers me his jacket on a cold evening, and other kind gestures. I try to be a positive person and try to be friendly, encouraging and nice to everyone I meet. I attend church almost every week and would like to find someone who also considers it important. I usually listen to contemporary Christian music, but like most types of music. Looking for someone who is easy-going, well respected and a nice, caring person. Hoping to find a long term relationship eventually. Someone who makes me a priority and honors me, but also allows me time for myself occasionally. I have two great kids who are both married. Looking for someone who has friendly smile, nice teeth and hair, the clean-cut, all-American male, preferably without very many or no tattoos. I have no tattoos and have no desire to get any. I like to hold hands and go on walks together for quality time. No pic, no reply. My idea of a first date would be to meet at a nice, fairly quiet restaurant for dinner. Afterwards, maybe a walk and more time to talk.
