I\'m single. I find myself leading my own path and never following the stereotypes. I need a Christian partner, mature, honest, caring, loving, humorous, versatile and spontaneous.

Alrighty, I guess I will do what the internet is telling me to. But firstly, I am going to make it very clear that I am not looking for casual sex. So if that's what you want, move along, nothing to see here.My hobbies: In my spare time I spend a lot of time at the gym. I couldn't date someone if fitness was not important to them, as it is a huge part of my life. I also love just hanging out with my dog. I like to game (I'm just clearing up the last few achievements in Skyrim). I like to go out and enjoy the night life here in Calgary (I'm a huge beer snob, love craft beers). Also hunting, planning on spending as much time as physically possible out there this fall. My goals and aspirations: I want to excel at whatever it is I do. Just started working in advertising after 4 years in problem wildlife management. Yes, completely and utterly different. It has definitely been a good change for me though. I want to become successful in what I do. If you're going to do something 40 hours a week for the rest of your life, you might as well enjoy it and be excellent at it. Still finding out exactly what that is for me, but I feel like I'm headed in the right direction. I also have a lot of fitness-related aspirations, in terms of how much I'd like to be able to lift etc. What makes me unique? Well, I'm pretty comfortable in who I am and what I like. I like waking up in the morning and dressing professionally and working in business. I like to come home, change, and go lift heavy things. I like gaming, but I also really like painting my nails. I'm really girly in some ways, and not at all in other ways. I'm also a pretty brutally honest person. Let's face it, that in itself is rare enough to make just about any person unique!..; I really don't enjoy listening to country or rap though. For the first date, especially from a dating site, I prefer to go to a quiet pub or coffee shop so that we can have a chance to speak in person and decide if we are both interested enough to see one another again.

Got back in November from traveling for ***months in Asia, so needless to say, travel is a pretty big part of my life! Graduated this past April from UofA with a degree in Sociology/Political Science. Currently I'm working to save money to jet off and travel/work abroad. I love meeting people from around the world and try to keep my appetite for travel fed by volunteering teaching English and (before I left to go traveling) working in a Backpacker's hostel. I go out every now and then but I'm no "bar star" anymore - it's not cheap!!! It's a phase everyone goes through I guess haha. I read quite a bit and my Christmas gift this year was a Kindle, and I love it. Just finished reading a collection of a series of interviews with Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. I would really like to visit Burma, so it is interesting to hear her views on the current situation there. I also keep up with current events, as I am a Political Science minor, and enjoy reading about politics and what's going on in the world in general.Another hobby of mine is cooking. I'm not saying I'm great at it, but I don't think I totally suck at it. I like coming home and cooking (most nights, except when I'm really wiped!), it helps the whole transition from "work to real life" thing. And I'm in a much better mood if I eat something that wasn't originally from the freezer section (although those pizzas are nice every now and then.....starting to get into the Sheepdogs, it was a natural leap as I enjoy 60s/70s hits as well and I think they have that good old school rock flavour. I like some R&B and popular country every now and then too.My goals in life definitely include a lot more travel plans, including working overseas. I'm not a "straight line" career/life path type person. I have lots of ideas and direction, but I try not to limit myself to thinking "school/career/house/family" Now that I've started out in the work world I see it a lot and don't see it as something I would enjoy...I'd always be thinking "What if I had done..." For first dates I like to just get to know a guy, coffee is always good. I like it when a guy tries to be original though!
