Well, I am not sure if this will really work, but I am giving it a try. I am far from being a sedate person. 40 may be my age but that does not mean I am ready to spend time in the recliner. There is something for sitting at home with the family and cuddling on the couch watching a good movie. On the other side, I love music and spending time out with friends. This does not mean every night by any means, but time out to release a lil stress is not a bad thing. I am looking for someone to spend time getting to know one another. The Statement the past is the past let it there, I totally agree...Yea, talk about it, but that is as far as it goes. Live for the future. I admit I am different, but who isn't. We all have our quirks and what is normal? When it comes time to judge there is only one person you have to please, and that is yourself. That might sound selfish, but think about it: If you're not happy with yourself, how can you be happy with someone else...I would not change anything in my past for it has made me who I am today.I don't believe in changing for anyone. I have tried this more than once and it does not do anything but make everyone unhappy. If you don't like what you see with me, than move on. There always has to be a lil give in a relationship but not complete change.Personally I am a Mother, step mother, grandmother, step grandmother, sister, daughter, best friend and friend. I fill each of these rolls differently. I love them all and cherish them all. They make up who I am. A first date is a date to really get to know one another. It could be going to eat somewhere. But it should be something that you can talk, and get a feel for them. If you become comfortable with them, then it could last past the meal. But let it open to weather it is going to be longer than dinner. Short first dates are not all bad but it all depends on how comfortable you are with one another.
